15? 20? these people are WROOOOONG!
XP USES 1020 MB available after installation AND 1100 MB peak usage during installation
theres 1024 mb in a gig. got it?
thats round up and give yourself an extra gig to be safe, so lets say 2 GB to install.
but thats just INSTALL!
rememebr, you put XP on that mac, and the mac is now suseptible to every 453,000 known viruses out there which means you need an antivirus program like NORTON.
or dont get one, and see how fast youre computer crashes.
thats going to use up another 2 gigs of usable space.
plus files, folders, homework you create.
you have 160gb HD?? thats HUGE! be safe and give yourself at LEAST 50! the more you have the faster the computer runs because it uses that space as virtual memory!

I would give it about 10. But you might want more. I mean if you have a USB key you'll never need to save anything on it anyway, you could also save things on gmail, you just need space for the programs, look at the size of the OS and the programs you want to install and ad a vew gigs for luck and off you go.

First, why did you in basic terms supply your self 2.55gb for XP? you're able to shop each thing and start up over and create a larger partition. i could say a minimum of 10gb on your "C" partition. in case you have not have been given the area, you're able to purchase a larger not easycontinual. Sorry for the undesirable information, yet this became undesirable making plans.

I would say about 15GB. It depends on how big the programs you intend to install are as well. If they are big programs, then you might need a little more, like 20GB.
