This is nothing like the "Black and White Minstrels".

That was white people wearing absurd make-up in a ridiculous and racist parody of black people, offensive in every way.

This picture is of some Trinidadians at a party with some (some!) white make-up on their faces.

The two don't even begin to compare.

Why even put the pictures up at all? Geez......the first one (as we all know) was used in the past to ridicule Black people.....so it's very connotation is offensive.

The second one, I could care less......it was never used to degrade and humiliate White people, so why should we care? I mean really....

Is is not equally unacceptable? I could give a rats ***, really......why can't people leave the hornets nest alone. Is there a reason to even use the pictures? To prove what?

Yes its indeed racist.

I remember ones, a persian guy was celebrating his new year, and part their the tradition is to paint your skin dark and go around dance and sing. (This is to show respect to an African Iranian hero) and some black guys thought they that the guy was making fun of them and they were close to beating him down.

well I live in the U.S. and many here would consider the first picture link racist but the second one is not.

We have a double standard here and for some reason minorities are incapable of racism.........at least according to them. But I'm not that stupid.

well that second image is one of the most racist thing I have ever seen in my long years. Someone needs to put a stop to that.

Look the way I see it is that... if blacks can agree that they won't get butthurt offended over the first picture then whites won't over the 2nd; then we can both have some fun (since both of those pictures were taken during carnivals, parties). Damn, its all for fun!!
