I can't take a screen shot of this...?

I am trying to get a screen shot or a still from a movie but when I press the 'print screen' button it just shows up black on my paint program. WTF? Do I need a program to get this shot?

Update:

Don't have vista. I have XP.

    well, there are a lot of media players on the internet that have screen capture functionality. try VLC or Gom. and these players can play a wide range of video formats.

    so just get the players, it won't hurt.

    if you have vista use the snipping tool it works better

    it should work but then its not so why don't you try vlc player its pretty good
