Which is the best treatment for enlarged prostate?

My husband has had drug treatments, which haven't made much difference. His options now are laser surgery or thermal microwave treatment. Which has the least side effects and best outcome?

I had an enlarged prostate most of my life and I never did anything about it until I contracted cancer.
But I would think that microwave treatment would be less invasive and thus have less side effects. But I would discuss this with the doctor. My doctor told me of all the side effects and after effects before I had surgery and I believe the doctor is the best person to ask about this problem.  I also took the time to check out the different outcome on Google.
