Regarding Obama, people who voted for him, and our troops?
I'd like to know if there are people out there who regret their vote for Obama.
I ask this because after finding out the Obama administration extended the 82nd Airborne Troops' tour of duty, something he has stated in the past that he was against, I'd like to know how some of you feel.
Conservatives, Liberals, please try to play nice.
John, when I ask the question "How do you feel about Fox News", you can spew your hatred all you want. You didn't answer the question.
Bulwinkle, you never really answered the question. I'm not asking about your feelings on Bush. I just want to know how you feel regarding Obama's decision, a completely opposite stance than what he discussed during his campaign and in that sense, repeating the same action as Bush.
zzone, you didn't really answer the question. Um, thanks?
Michael P, are you telling me that people can change their mind on something? I voted for Obama, and I'm not happy with the job he's doing so far. I'm hoping he'll prove me wrong, but this latest decision is just another on a long list of issues I have with him so far.

I have been concerned deeply about our growing debt/and health care reform. However since I voted for Obama I would like to say that I think he is still doing not only a good job but an exellent job and still holds my confidence and trust

It would be funny if this was a film, with all the clumsy attempts at propaganda that the government tries to use, all to little effect. Indeed, one might say that they are hurting their cause by all of this manipulation, but still they persevere. Never before in our history have we had people as nakedly promoting their radical agenda through their propaganda as these Marxists.
With Senate bill 773, which gives the Resident the power to shut down the Internet at his discretion, (whatever constitutes, in his mind, an emergency), this administration is trying its best to control and influence all information.
This includes scrubbing the Internet of all negative information that could be construed to be negative. The blog, Stop the ACLU has found an Organizing For America,(Nobama’s personal propaganda corps) E-mail (that has now been “scrubbed” from their site) that calls for “action” on (and this is soooooooo cute, they have selected, 9/11, or “Patriot Day”) Sept. 11, where each minion calls their Senators and “Swamp the switchboards” about the “Right- wing terrorists” who are apparently hogging all the healthcare, and denying poor people the healthcare they need. How ridiculous is that?
This is something I couldn’t make up- you have to view it yourself:
Stop The ACLU
The point of this post is not so much that they are lying blatantly- I have come to expect that. Or that they use their little OFA website to promote hate- I expect that also.
But what galls me is that they attempted to “scrub” their website of this offensive hate missive- and some liberals maintain that they simply wouldn’t , or couldn’t delete these things, like they maintain that Wikipedia and other sites can’t be scrubbed of information the government deems detrimental to their cause.
These people will soon have the ability to shut off our free speech- right now, they are busy remolding their “reality” to fit their propaganda, their “class warfare”, because with Liberals, it seems to be the only way they know how to make their disgusting ideas palatable to the public- pick a group- in this case, conservatives, and demonize them with baseless rumors and innuendo that is then deleted from their websites.
These are the people that apparently, a slim majority of people elected- actually, only one was elected- he has brought all his marxist, racist, radical people with him. What galls me, is that he has been friends with Bill Ayers for about 20 years- he sat in Rev. Wright’s pews for 20 years, listening to that race- baiter, he has formed friendships with the most radical people in this country, and he has the gall to call conservatives terrorists?
This man’s value system is so screwed up that a lifetime of sessions with Freud himself couldn’t even begin to peel the socialist onion that is our Resident.
As I have said, he would be laughable if only he didn’t attract so many radical flies.
We need to stop this man’s hateful agenda now.

George W Bush got us in to Iraq based on a lie.
He burned a CIA opp for politics.
When he found out there were no weapons of mass destruction, he refused to come up with an exit strategy.
This is abuse of the armed forces so much greater than Obama ever will do.
Obama took a bad situation and is trying to solve it. You throw stones at him while George W is the one to regret voting for.
How any soldier in the armed forces could not regret voting for a man that got us all in to war based on lies is beyond my understanding.

Nobody regrets voting for Obama. The people who don't like him now are the people who never liked him.

I would vote for Obama again tomorrow. Here are just a few of the many things Obama and the Dem Congress have already done in the midst of a national crisis, at a moment when it didn't seem possible they could get anything he was seeking...
- Gave 95% of working Americans tax breaks.
- Increased the amount private lenders making loans under Small Business Administration (SBA) programs. Previously, the federal government would guarantee 85 percent for loans at or below $150,000 and up to 75 percent for larger loans. Under the new program, the government will guarantee up to 90 percent of all loans for a limited time.
- Stopped the country's freefall in to a deep depression with the stimulus bill, which includes increased federal spending for health care, infrastructure, education, various tax breaks and incentives, and direct assistance to individuals, which is being distributed over the course of several years, with about 25% due by the end of 2009. Stopped the stockmarket and plenty of banks from crashing. There has also been a cascade of new policies to address the financial crisis — massive interventions in the housing and credit markets, a market-based plan to buy the toxic assets that many banks have on their books, a plan to bail out the auto industry and a strict new regulatory regime proposed for Wall Street.
- Created a new housing program that has stabilized the market, preventing more foreclosures and helping millions more re-finance at historically low mortgage rates. The Administration is also moving forward with its plans to get credit flowing again to businesses and families, and to reform our regulatory system so we have a set of 21st century rules to match 21st century financial markets.
- Communicated much better than our previous president with us all, from an online Q&A site, to many news conferences, to town hall meetings.
- Ordered the closing of Guantanamo Bay detention camp "as soon as practicable and no later than" January 2010.
- Obama reduced the secrecy given to presidential records and changed procedures to promote disclosure under the Freedom of Information Act.
- Implemented an electronic medical record system that will make switching doctors much easier for you.
- Overturned Bush's torture policies.
- The Obama Department of Transportation has approved over 2,500 highway projects. DOT officials say 260,000 jobs are expected from this investment.
- Within their first 100 hours Democrats passed the College Cost Reduction and Access Act, that among other things included more than $2 billion a year in additional need-based grant funding, a new Income-Based Repayment program that allows borrowers to repay federal loans as a portion of their income, and lower interest rates for federal loans. According to a new new report by the U.S. PIRG, the interest rate reductions will translate into savings of thousands of dollars for college students. Nearly five million families are expected to save $9 billion, according to Treasury officials.
- The automobile industry, at the White House and Congress's behest, has undergone seismic structural changes, managerial reorganization, and massive cuts in employment. The president has put in place the framework for an industry recovery. Cash for clunkers.
- In February and March, Vice President Joe Biden and Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton made separate overseas trips to announce a "new era" in U.S. foreign relations with Russia and Europe, using the terms "break" and "reset" to signal major changes from the policies of the preceding administration.
- On February 27, Obama declared that combat operations would end in Iraq within 18 months. His remarks were made to a group of Marines preparing for deployment to Afghanistan. Obama said, "Let me say this as plainly as I can: By August 31, 2010, our combat mission in Iraq will end.
- Obama favors ending development of new nuclear weapons, reducing the current U.S. nuclear stockpile, enacting a global ban on production of fissile material, and seeking negotiations with Russia to reduce the pressure on both sides for intercontinental ballistic missiles to be on high-alert status.
- More than any prior president, Obama has put a spotlight on America's struggling cities, even creating an office of Urban Policy in the White House. It is the Justice Department, however, that lays claim to one of the most consequential of urban affairs achievements. Through the Recovery Act, DOJ secured $2 billion for Byrne Grants, which funds anti-gang and anti-gun task forces. This is expected to have massive ramifications on inner-city crime and violence.
- Since taking office, the White House has put under federal protection more than two million acres of wilderness, thousands of miles of river and a host of national trails and parks. The conservation effort - the largest in the last 15 years - came with the stroke of a pen when Obama signed the
