Why do whites expect to get away with murder but want blacks to pay a stiff price?

Two months ago, a white NFL quarterback was accused of raping a girl, but it was swept under the rug. Most folk have not heard about it; I wonder why it was swept under the rug being that the girl wanted it investigated? The other day a black football player hit a white one in response to WHAT THE WHITE PLAYER DID TO HIM. He did not arbitrarily choose a player just to hit. Nothing was said of the white player because he got hit the hardest. It does not matter!! If you start a fight do not become a victim if someone else finishes it!! Blount was expelled for a whole year for retaliating. What penalty is the white player going to face for mocking and hitting Blount? Does the rule say if you are hit by a white player, you must take it? I am hoping that someone brings this to the forefront. I cannot believe that no one will say anything, for it is caught on tape. HE HAD NO BUSINESS GOING OVER TO BLOUNT TO MOCKING AND HITTING HIM. Blount is a loose canon not because of his retaliating but because he would not be comforted by his teammates. He deserves to sit out for a month but not the season.

There you go bringing race into it. The white player was accused only. No one is backing her story including her employer and coworker. the women never filed a police report. She has no proof her story is bogus got it?

Blount assaulted a person for no reason. Oh, you say a player taunted him? Big deal, that is football. I am sure Blount has done some taunting in his time to. No one ever hit him for it. He CHOOSE to assault an opposing player The white player did not punch Blount in the face. He only tapped him on the shoulder pads. He did not deserve to be physically assaulted for something that takes place every day in sports at all levels.

Blount not only should sit out the rest of the year, he should be charged with assault and battery. you and I would since we are not sports stars. You never have a right to physically attack someone because of a few words. Blount is also a coward as he only assaulted the man after the man turned away. He was not man enough to do it when the player was looking at him. Send this man to jail.

Richard, You're very wrong on this, and there is no justification for making this a racial issue.

#1 I don't accept that Blount was grossly taunted by the BSU player, but let's say that he was. That is still never a just reason to punch somedody in the jaw. People are supposed to use their reason to overcome emotional responses. Also the BSU player did not "hit" Blount. That was a tap on the shoulder pad in anyone's book.

#2 There was no reason for a "retaliatory" strike by Blount. The BSU coach was already corralling his player even before Blount could land his punch. So in a way Blount disrespected the BSU head coach too.

#3 There is such a thing as not being a sore loser. Blount started the trash talk in the press before the game. In fact Blount could not back it up. He and Oregon got their azz beat. I would have expected some BSU player to say something. The best thing for Blount to do would be to laugh it off. The BSU player probably would have laughed it off too.

#4 If the punch was all that Blount did he would probably have gotten a 1 or 2 game suspension. It was the hystrionics and total meltdown that followed the punch that sealed Blount's fate. He fought his own team mates that were only trying to help him. he tried to brawl with fans, and He fought with his own coaches and security personnel, who were trying to keep him out of the stands.

#5 This isn't Blount's first problem. He just recently came off of a suspension. His own team suspended him. They know him best. He's also dealing with a new coach and a University that were embarrased on national TV.

I think Blount should have gotten a 5 - 6 game suspension, but during Blount's entire +5 minute meltdown Blount should have been able to anticipate that he just monumentally screwed himself and calmed himself down. You should be embarrased by Blount and not try to justify this episode. This episode should be a lesson for everyone.

This is what happens when you only read headlines and don't read the story.

Big Ben was accused of rape by a girl who waited a year to do anything then sued him in civil court. She never went to the police. She even bragged about having sex with him.

Blout hit someone for taunting him. You cant go hitting everybody. He couldn't even hit him when the guy was looking. Then he tried to fight his teammates. Then he tried fighting fans.

Blout spent the whole week taunting Boise State. I guess they should have punched him before the game according to you.

I don't think race is an issue here.

I am white, and I take Blount's side on this. This kid had his whole senior year taken away; all because a Boise State player could not win with class. He had to taunt Blount; which elicited the punch.

A suspension of a few games would have been enough. This is a huge overreaction, in my opinion.

Sorry, but I never thought about race in this incident.

So which White QB are we talking about? I mean clearly you aren't talking about Big Ben because that was made very public about a CIVIL SUIT (note:Rape is a CRIMINAL matter, so this isn't truly a RAPE case). That was "swept under the rug" as more and more of her claims were shown to be beyond belief. ESPN stopped covering it so they could stop embarrassing HER.

the key word here is he was ACCUSED, not convicted, it was looked into, and decided against an investigation. Why did Stallworth, who for the record, is not white, only get a month in jail for vehicular manslaughter?
