About digital camera removable disk?
I was going to download copy pictures I took on my digital camera and when I plugged it onto my computer the file appeared which normally has all my pictures I took in it (it's most likely same for all other cameras).
And then a window came up saying there is a trojan (which I wasn't sure where it came from, either the computer or the camera ) so, quickly, I cleared it using this program I set up. Next thing I know the file on my camera disappeared and when I unplugged the camera from the computer, the pictures were still there (in the camera memory stick where didn't seem to appear on the computer/removable disk)
WHAT HAPPENED AND WHAT SHOULD I DO TO get access to the pictures through removable disk??
p.s: I thought the program automatically deleted the file cause of the trojan but when I checked in my recycle bin, it wasn't there either.
thank you!!! :'( :D

Ok, it sounds like your camera is treated like a hard drive by the computer (different cameras are treated differently). For what ever reason when you plugged your camera into your computer if found what it though was some sort of trojan or virus.
That does not mean that the questionable file was on the camera. It could be that the file in question was activated (loaded) off your computers hard drive when the camera was plugged in - ie attached to a driver or helper application. The reason you won't find this file in the recycle bin is that it's not where anti-virus software moves deleted files to.
You should scan your computer for viruses!
You should be safe to download images off your camera.
You may want to remove the software/drivers for your camera and re-install them using either the original CD or with updated versions from the camera manufacturers OWN site!

If your anti-trojan program deleted a file, it would not go to the Recycle Bin. It should be gone forever. The Trojan most probably came from the computer or another computer if you connected your camera or SD card to another one. You don't get Trojans from the camera.
Before connecting the camera to the computer, check the computer for viruses and Trojans. When all is clean, connect the camera again to and if the computer still detects Trojans, continue deleting. If there are files aside from pictures in the camera, then those would be the ones that are probably being deleted that is why you still see the pictures in your camera. When the computer is satisfied that there are no more Trojans in the camera, proceed to copying your pictures.
After copying, format the SD card to make sure nothing is left in it, Trojan and all, before using it again. This time, be very carefull whre you connect your camera or SD card to avoid getting infected again.
