New York Mets Injuries?

Has there been any team in any sport with as many injuries as this year's Mets team has? Sorry, I haven't streamed FAN for awhile. What the heck is the explanation?

In 1972, a rugby team from Stella Maris College went down in a plane crash in the Andes Mts., South America, technically in Argentina.

45 people were on the plane, eventually 16 survived and were rescued.

The Mets are having a hard time this season, but not remotely that bad.

I dont think I have ever seen a team with so many injuries but the explanation could be that the players arent in great shape and are lazy when it comes to workouts or it just happened that all these players got injured like any normal player would.

It is a shame and today on Mets.com read a comment that the new stadium is falling apart. It was from a NY POst story, so that is accessible on line.

Wow, leaks, rust in the metal work. Not enough outlets in the laundry area. No heat or ac in the maintenance dept room, the people that groom the field and clean the litter.

Jerry Seinfeld the comic has a box, $250,000 per year, and it leaks and has mold.

    What a disaster.

This was in todays NY Post, every new building goes through the same problems, next week, they'll do a story about Yankee Stadium.

The Mets have used the DL more than any other time in their history this year, but the Nats in 2007 used it more. Since they weren't expected it contend it wasn't a media issue like the Mets.

I do think that they seriously have to look at their medical and training staff, and need to go for younger and more athletic players. Minaya has a propensity to bring in older players who are injury prone. I think they need a new GM who is interested in building a winner, not a whiner.
