Are there any dorm accessories that you found really helped living at college?

-Full Length Mirror

-A huge Poster Calendar for the Dorm, writing on it saved me from ditching the wrong days

-Bath Sandals, too many friends got nasty stuff

-Your Own Sheets, mine were stained

-A Bible

-Bean Bag Chair helps studying for sure

-A small desk lamp that won't bother your roomies

-Foreman Grill

-Laptop

-Sound system for the laptop

Have fun with your first year but don't except to get into orgies and massive parties like in the movies cause people who tend to go usually never find their way back to class.

I had one of those big cork bulletin boards, and it helped me so much.

First of all it's like a little piece of you in a strange big place, because you can put up pictures but most importantly things you want to remember because there will be a lot of info you'll need to remember. Also your roommate can leave you messages which can come handy.

Also the first week of school I went out and bought a few posters with musicians and movies I love, which didn't help in any practical way but made me feel more at home, covered some empty walls and reminded me of me!
