When snow melts what does it become?

    snow is actually crystals which reflect certain wave-lengths of light making it appear white. it then goes to it's liquid form which is water. then as it warms more it turns into a gas.

    that answers the question "where does the white go when the snow melts?".

    It doesn't become anything. Its all water, Except if you want to say its become a liquid, who knows how many steps into the water cycle you want to go, it might end up snow again. It could also become groundwater. Some of it would go into rivers and some of it would become evaporation

    ummmm I did this when I was a kid :

    I took snow in a cup and i put it in the microwave for 1 minute.... when it's done, I took it out, and what I saw was dirty water, dirt, sandy stuff ewww it was gross!!!
