Hot and Cold Relationship? Bipolar traits?

I live with my boyfriend and so far he has days to weeks of squeezing the life out of me where I'm so exhausted from overstimulation...then he will go into modes of treating me like I'm the most retarded person on earth. He doesn't say mean things, he just purposely ignores me or acts like I'm getting on his nerves if I ask him something. I leave him alone during those times, and we have our own projects and lives going on....but I can't help but want to talk about the rejected times while he's in his good moods...he seems to not even remember them.

Are these bipolar traits? Can someone who has bipolar please let me know if he is just mad at everything and not just me at those times? I'm getting confused.

    I have Bipolar Schizophrenia Psychosis and to be called Bipolar is very insulting. Your throwing this word around for your boyfriends mood swings as if to say he has bipolar that is ridiculous. Does he hear voices? Does he do drugs? Does he smash the place up in outbursts? If the answer is no then he does not have bipolar. He may be stressed and have bad moods swings but that doesn't make him bipolar that is very insulting that you think like that. Some guys are just controlling and manipulative if you don't like it find someone else who isn't but don't call him bipolar if he isn't.

    I'm not a Doctor. There's a lot more to Bipolar Disorder than him acting like that.

    * I don't really get like that and I am Bipolar so . . .
