2nd pregnancy- feel different?
I am currently 13 weeks pregnant with our second child. With my daughter who is now almost 2 years old, I was sick as a dog for 5 months of my pregnancy... puking at least 3 times a day, and was almost never fatigued until late in my pregnancy with her. (I NEEDED my nap at precisely 2pm or I was a wreck) With this baby I have not had ANY morning sickness at all, just extremely fatigued and I feel completely wore out.
Since the day I found out I was expecting #2, I had a gut feeling that this baby was a boy (even though I secretly wanted my daughter to have a sister.) I even took the intelligender (gender predicting pee test) because I am SO curious to know if we are indeed having a son. I know, I know... yall can say it's a big waste of money but it is MY money to waste. So no nasty comments please. The intelligender in fact had a BOY result, clear as day.
So my question is, did any of yall have different symptoms during each of your pregnancies? And does feeling different in yalls pregnancies in fact mean you were having one gender or the other? I don't want to hear "every pregnancy is different", because I KNOW that. Please just let me know your experiences! Thanks ladies!
Sweet Libra - I wasn't saying I really "cared" what gender the baby was, because I'd be happy either way. I am just curious about other peoples differences in pregnancies and if there was any link with gender.
Nick - I was thinking the same thing....

They have those things??? Never heard of them
Well, you're having a boy, That was my answer after reading the first couple lines. Girls give morning sickness and boys make you tired, from my experience.

Every pregnancy is different from the next. I'm preggers w/ # 4 and while I have some similarities between them all, there's also a lot of differences. Think of it like this: You're giving birth to completely different children, so the time it takes to bring them into this world will be different as well. While they may be the same in some ways, they're different people, so there's going to be differences. I've had 1 girl and 2 boys and I really think # 4 is a girl. It doesn't matter on the gender. My 2 pregnancies w/ my boys were totally different. I got huge & fat w/ # 1 boy and only puked 1x. W/ # 2 boy, I puked every other day, but felt great mood-wise and couldn't wait to meet him. I dreaded # 1, even ended up w/ post-partum depression on that one. In all honesty, my 1st 2 were similar to each other & they're different genders and these last 2 are similar, again, I think they're going to be different genders (too soon to tell yet).

I have a son and a daughter, and the two pregnancies were definitely different, but I assumed that the reason was because with the first I did not have anyone else to look after except for myself and with the second I was already looking after a two year old. So I would not put too much stock in the idea that you feel differently with this pregnancy. Also, when you have already been pregnant once I think your body may be better able to handle the change in hormones. Good Luck.

with my first (a girl), i never had any kind of morning sickness and wasnt very fatigued at all. i had a LOT of heartburn, ALL the time.. but, other than that, it was a pretty uneventful pregnancy.
now, with my second (a boy), i've been sick almost the entire pregnancy and i STILL can't get enough sleep.. which may be due to the fact that i have a 3 year old running around. I'm always super tired and my eyes are barely staying open. i get heartburn every now & then, but nothing like my first pregnancy
So, to answer your question, both pregnancies have been complete opposites for me and they're different genders.

With my first I had awful morning sickness for about 3 or 4 months. I couldn't even keep a glass of water down. I had a girl.
With my second I didn't actually throw up once, although certain smells made me feel like throwing up. I had a girl.
With my third I only had morning sickness for 3 weeks and it was weird. I threw up twice a day for the first week and once a day for the second week and then only 3 times in the last week. My immunity to rubella was found to be low. I had a boy.
With this one I've not really had any morning sickness, but I have thrown up twice but only once from morning sickness, the other time I was actually ill. And my immunity to rubella is low again. Its a boy

My first,I was sick and couldnt keep a thing down, fainted and all that. I knew from the beginning that it was a girl. My 2nd-I found out I was pregnant, got tired maybe threw up a few times and knew early it was boy. BUT my 3rd-It so closely resembled my 1st that I thought girl. The ultrasoundat 20weeks said girl but the ultrasound at 28 said BOY! lol
I do have a girl and two boys. Sometimes we just know:)

i felt different for my second child so i thought it was going to be a boy but then i had my second daughter i was happy because i wanted a girl too so now i have 2 girls and waiting for my 3rd to arrive some test can be false you really don't know if that test is accurate enough to determine the sex of a baby so just cross your fingers like i did and u might get what u want good luck

My mom was almost never sick with me and had a pretty easy pregnancy. However, with my sister, she was so sick she could hardly get out of bed. We were both girls, so even if it’s completely different, there’s no guarantee. She was pretty sure she was having a boy because of the differences, but, my sister surprised her!
