A free print "archiver" available?
I share an office with someone who uses my office equipment (ie printer, paper, ect.). He connects to the network printer through the front office computer which the laser printer is connected. The front computer has to be on for him to print.
I have recently become quite curious if he uses my printer/paper after hours to print "self-promotional" items that are supposed to be done at his own cost.
I did a WWW search and came up with a program...but its not too clear how it works. If anyone could give me tips or a program to be able to "View" what he prints (not really spying since it is my printer supplies ect) to prove/disprove my suspicions.

EnviroTone Imaging can help answer your question.
If the person uses your eqipment, then simply ask him to split or agree upon a monthly costs to use your equipment including rental for replacement of the hardware like a new printer.
You must keep in mind that printers are like cars. The do occasionally need some parts replacing. For instance, if you have a laser printer, you will over time need to replace the drum units if not part of the toner cartridge as well as fusers, maintenance kits or other cleanings periodically.
The easiest thing to do is to rig the printer with a trap. An easy trap would be to take out the paper from the tray and then close the paper drawer and put a small piece of tape over the drawer out of site so when he opens the drawer to insert more paper, you can catch him red handed or at least know that the printer has been used by another person.
You may also be able to print a history report for that printer. I am sure some printers have the capability of printing a report. Fax machines have been capable of history reports for years.
