What's the most boring thing to watch in sports?

I hear a lot of people stating that baseball is boring because it's a slower game. So my question is... what is the most boring thing to watch in any given sport??? Any sport whatsoever.

Whether it be watching a standard baseball game, or the 4th quarter of a football game where one team is up 35-7? Kneel down plays at the end of football games... the last 5 minutes of any basketball game, the fouls, the time outs, the freethrows... ugh (just freaking get on with it already), golf, bowling, nascar...

besides the obvious 3 hours of turning left that is nascar, it's the countless commercial breaks in football games for me. i LOVE football but any given sunday, the droning of stupid jingles and onslaught of alcohol advertisements will sing me to sleep quicker than any baseball laugher or PGA event.

When a basketball game has 2 minutes left, it seems to take about 30 minutes to play. I think this is the most boring thing to watch, even more boring than golf. I also find the full duration of a Nascar race to be completely boring (even the finish). I went to one live in Sonoma, California and it was quite good actually. It's the type of Nascar race where it wasn't raced on an oval track, but more like a course.

None I really love sports, maybe tennis if I had to pick I guess.

I could watch both Golf & baseball on TV but I think they are way more fun at the park and on the course.

I guess if you're Canadian you might think Curling is a sport and that's pretty boring watching someone sweep in front of a disc, it's more like some guys job than a sport.

For me, there are two sports that are sooooooo boring :

    1) Basketball ( sorry, I don't get the concept )

2)Tennis ( I do not get it either)

I love baseball, hockey, and football.

Back in the early 80's. a friend of mine thought that if I went to a final 4 game at The Pit (the arena for the University of New Mexico, in Albuquerque, N.M.)I would get to understand the game.

We had seats four rows up from the visiting teams'

bench.I was on national television sleeping and slobbing !

Interesting question. God Bless You. Thank You

Besides the obvious choice of NASCAR, I have to say I'm a football fan. I know a lot of people just love it, but I don't find any excitment in it.

The only footballs games I watch is our high school's varsity team, because I personally know a lot of the players and I'm able to go there and talk with all my friends. Otherwise, I probably could care less.

First let me state I don't feel Nascar is a sport (but if it were, it would be there)...sure Tony Stewart is in shape. Second, the most boring thing or time in sports takes place during the Olympic games when you get coverage of every single psuedo-sport that has come in vogue (Rhythmic Gymnastics, curling, syn swimming, etc.) Sure I root for America, but when they show countries that are only new to the latest map in sports like this I just look for a re-run on TBS.

1.) An entire basketball game. It can take 20 minutes to play the last 2 in a quarter. Plus everyone is over-rated. "Oooh. LeBron can dunk!" So can everyone else.

2.) NASCAR. Wow. You can work a clutch and turn left. Good for you.

3.) Blow out football games, or ones where no one can score. I hate when one team has an absurd offense or both have great D. That's not exciting. The NFL has to find a way to help teams like the Lions, Raiders, Bengals, etc. to get better. Maybe just prohibit any team finishing at .500 or better from even participating in the draft.

Does poker count? I've seen it on the FSN channels. Golf is a close second. The game is very quiet and not much cheering going on.

As for football blowouts, I'm a Longhorn fan so I've seen plenty in my day. Theres nothing like running away with 60 points when the other team has 20 or less.

    1. Golf

    2. MLS Soccer (I find the European leagues pretty exciting)

    3. WNBA

    4.NASCAR

    5. Hockey (The sport is fine, but the extracurricular stuff like fighting, pushing and shoving, cheap shots, etc. that take place every minute becomes so tiring, I have to change the channel.)

Sure, some people may not like baseball, but it sure wouldn't pull in over $6 billion in revenue every year if it was "boring." That's six BILLION dollars.
