what is/was/want to be your major? and what is your current job? does it have anything to do with your major?

i am just wondering what you all have studied in college, are studying, or want to study? and if you have already graduated, does your current job has anything to do with your major?

for me.. i am studying computer science, and i want to work in the computer networking field (in sha Allaah).

I've Ba of English Literature & Translation - Imam Univ. - Riyadh - 2009 .. and i've been accepted to be a teacher on the next year .. sure i'm gona English teacher -inshallah

When I was small, I wanted to be pilot, space craft designer, engineer and lastly, Formula 1 Race driver.

But seriously when I was 18, I decided what I wanna do. I was hooked up on to computers so I did all my further studies in that.

And yes, the job that I do now is related to my major. But word of advice the degree that you obtain is just the foundation of your career. You will need to do professional certification, and best learn and practice on your own.

In your example, Finish you computer science degree, and if your can since you are interested in computer network field, do Cisco certification. They will help you long away. Learn the basics on the certification and make your say for specialization such as VOIP (voice over IP, or firewalls...etc.

My BA was in English 
My MA will be in Applied Linguistics (inshallah)
I work from home maintaining a website & doing some writing
I do intend to work as an English teacher.
I would have rather studied Physics just for fun and be a stay at home mom, but since I'm going to SA, what I chose was a better choice.

......I wanted to be a neuro surgeon but my family couldn't afford the schooling so I ended up just a plain Engineer.....I wanted to continue my plan in schooling but not as a neuro surgeon anymore. I wanted to be a well paid lawyer someday......dream on.....its free anyways.....hahaha.....

bachelors of education and yes, I tutor english... (pays more than in-school institutions) so I offer private lessons. my time, my pay,  my choice of students, my freedom ^_^
