Which are rough and are smooth?

My wife and I are doing a road trip next year to visit all the amusement parks in Penn. if we know which are rough we can ride them last so we don't walk around with headaches and backaches all day. Here are where we are going..

Hershey Park

Dutch wonderland

Dorney Park

Kennywood

Knoebels

Lakemont Park

Idlewild

Waldameer

Thanks

These are the wooden coasters featured at all of the parks in Pennsylvania listed from best to worst based on tech specs.

1 - Thunderbolt - John Miller Co.; Andy Vettel - Kennywood

2 - Thunderhawk - Philadelphia Tobbogan Co. - Dorney Park & Wildwater Kingdom

    3 - Lightning Racer (Twin) - Great Coasters Int'l - Hersheypark

    3 - Lightning Racer (Twin) - Great Coasters Int'l - Hersheypark

    4 - Wildcat - Great Coasters Int'l - Hersheypark

    5 - Comet - Philadelphia Tobbogan Co. - Hersheypark

    6 - Racer (Twin) - Charlie Mach - Kennywood

    6 - Racer (Twin) - Charlie Mach - Kennywood

    7 - Jack Rabbit - Miller & Baker - Kennywood

    8 - Leap-the-Dips - E. Joy Morris Co. - Lakemont Park & Island WaterPark

    9 - Twister - Knoebel Family - Knoebel's Amusement Park & Resort

10 - Ravine Flyer II - Gravity Group - Waldameer Park & Water World

    11 - Phoenix - Philadelphia Tobbogan Co. - Knoebel's Amusement Park & Resort

    12 - Rollo Coaster - Philadelphia Tobbogan Co. - IdleWild & SoakZone

13 - Skyliner - Philadelphia Tobbogan Co. - Lakemont Park & Island WaterPark

14 - Comet - Philadelphia Tobbogan Co. - Waldameer Park & Water World

    15 - Kingdom Coaster - Custom Coasters Int'l - Dutch Wonderland

FYI, the ones made by Great Coasters International use special trains that they make themselves called Millennium Flyers, which articulate with the track and have shock absorbers and provide a very smooth ride on par with that of a steel coaster. Since all of those are located at Hersheypark, I would say that you ought to visit that park first.

As for the other ones, typically the faster a coaster is the more rattling and shaking you experience, so after Hersheypark I would ride the more subdued ones at the bottom of the list and work my way up. Based on that idea, here are the parks in Pennsylvania that you can visit listed from first to last.

    Hersheypark

    Dutch Wonderland

    IdleWild & SoakZone

    Dorney Park & Wildwater Kingdom

    Knoebel's Amusement Park & Resort

    Waldameer Park & Water World

    Lakemont Park & Island WaterPark

    Kennywood

BTW, this list doesn't take geographical info into consideration, so after you visit one park and there's another park further down the list that's close by, go to that one next. It all depends on your preference.

    Hope this information helps.
