What shoudl I put in the objective line of my resume?
Im applying to be a prep cook at a new resturaunt in town. Under objective I wrote: seeking employment as a crew member at X restauruant.
is that good enough?

You don't need an objective. It is usually skipped over anyways.

If you decide to have a career objective on your CV, then you need to be looking at your longer term ambitions.
So- where would you like to see yourself in 2, 3, 5 year's time? Do you plan to make your career in catering/chef ? If so, what job are you aiming for, and what are you going to do about this? What makes you feel passionate about food and the restaurant business?
If you don't have anything to say about any of these questions, then leave out the 'objective' part of your resume, and concentrate on pointing out the skills, experience and qualifications you have that are important for the job. Otherwise you'll end up looking as though you have no idea where you see yourself in the future, and lacking in both ambition and motivation.

That is a good start but you should add something to show your not a short-timer when employers hire they generally hire people that are going to be devoted to the company. So your "objective should be "long term employment at X restaurant" good luck.
