Muslims who want to live under Islamic Sharia law were told on Wednesday to get out of Australia, as the government targeted radicals in a bid to head off potential terror attacks. 

Separately, Howard angered some Australian Muslims on Wednesday by saying he supported spy agencies monitoring the nation's mosques.

It's all smoke and mirrors. This is in fact the truth; Here on Y/A the hatred towards Obama is 90% about the color of his skin, nothing these bigots can say will change the millions of racial insults that those of us of color have endured this past year. I am not and will not apologize for telling the truth, they should be apologizing to me for every time one of my kids got a glance of some coward calling all blacks lazy,watermelon,fried chicken eating welfare recipients, that only voted for Obama because we are too stupid to make an analytical decision based on any thing other than race. Wow some fool said Obama represents only Blacks, now that is blind deaf and dumb. Heh... I actually like that...

I believe the Netherlands have done basically the same thing. Anyone not from the US, Canada, or other EU nations have to watch a video and agree that they can live with what it means to live in that country (that includes the weather, topless women, and gay couples).

I'm all for being tolerant of other cultures. In fact, I think that it's very very necessary... but there are limits. And they should be tolerant of everyone else as well.

Australia has always been careful about who they let in.  
This guy doesn't say you have to practice any particular religion, just live in harmony with it.  Sounds like first amendment to me.  No state religion.
The US First amendment don't forbid "God" on the wall of schools.
In fact it ..."expressly prohibits the Congress from making laws .. prohibiting the free exercise of religion, ..."

'Congress' is prohibited from interfering the "free exercise of religion".

Some folks seem to think that 'citizens' are prohibited from "free exercise of religion".

I don't know enough about the Australian constitution. If a president made a statement like that in this country he should be run out of office.
