My fellow Christians, what do you think of the following prayer?

Your opening is a question about quality, not a plea for followers!

I prefer prayers that don't try to tell God what to do, but instead reaffirm my faith that God knows what he's doing and that I'm on board with what ever God decides. The Lords prayer is the classic example of how we should pray: First worship, then make supplication, and finally reaffirm our acceptance of God's will.

May the peace of our mutual Lord be with us all, always!

Well, it seems rather redundant and wasteful to pray that our officials can resist the idea that some lives can be sacrificed to save others or that killing the unborn is a part of health care when they already agree with that, and to skip praying for the children who are dying from disease because their families are too poor to have health care.

Well, For the most part your prayer is for a good cause. I will pray for the nation. But I always like to say, Lord let thine will be done, not mine. So, if it does come to that point, well, I know that the lord allowed it to happen.Because all in all he controls this world.

I agree with the prayer, but if people seems to think that this world is headed for the divine before the dispensation of judgment, they are being deceived. Mankind is on a path of one way destruction and Obama and this administration is seeing to it that we get there right on time. The Prayer should be, "Father, Bring down those who are serving the evil satanic spirit of the Antichrist, open their eyes and save those who are written in the Lamb's Book of Life. Come Quickly King Jesus! ..In Jesus name!

I think that denying your citizens basic health care is inhumane in the extreme, and that a lot of people are being lied to by those who stand to lose a lot by moving to a universal health care system.

This sure sounds to me like the prayer of a baby who has not yet been born.

Is verse 19 a prayer for protection from abortionist?

Well, I thought the Islamic fundamentalists had cornered the market on mixing religion and politics...but I see that there are some fundamentalist Christians in this country who want to mix it up here in as radical a way as they do it over in their countries. Scary stuff!
