How do I make myself want to quit smoking?

    Make a list of all the negatives associated with smoking.

    Copy and hang in favorite smoking areas(chair,computer desk,etc...).

    Realize and accept the harm your causing yourself and others.

    Wash your walls and you'll see the residue left on the walls from the tar(it's also in your lungs).

    Unfortunately I never applied these things to myself though.I just found out last night after a severe asthma attack and 2 1/2 hours in the ER,I have COPD.

    Now it's time for me to seriously look over and reevaluate my "bad" habit and do something to correct it.I know it will be a long,hard road,but it'll be worth it.I want to see my grand children grow up and for us to get to know each other.

    I'm not going to give up my life for something so stupid as a "habit" that serves no good reason for me or others.

    Look for a government program that will brainwash you into believing that you want to quit. Maybe hypnosis (if it works on you).

    Then you will need additional brainwashing or medication to make you believe that you are happy that you quit and are enjoying your new, smoke-free life.

    That's the only way that I can think of to force yourself to want to do something that you don't want to do. I suppose that you can keep reminding yourself of all of the people who will be happy that they have control over your life. If that doesn't work, just try staying medicated so you think you're happy.

    your scared of the truth thats what i speak, you should just let me beat the addiction out of you because you seem like a softy mcfrosty

    come over my house ill shove lit cigarettes in your eyes then when you still want one ill make you stand over a fire breathing in the smoke from that for hours and just when your about to pass out i do the cigarette thing and smoke thing over and over i bet you will quit

    just leave email if this is what you want

    dont listen to that bomb thrower, do my method you ll stop if not just smoke a pack of cigars a day.
