Already work with company on hourly basis. Is there a correct way in turning down a salary job.?
I am recent a college graduate. This is my 1st full time job. However, it is not related to my field. I am always on the lookout for something else that is related. I just do not want to sign up as permanent and then leave immediately if/when I find the job I want. That just looks bad.
WordGirl. You dropped some valuable insight. Thanks so much.

This is a tough one. You'll have to find out more about what your company's expectations are: at some workplaces, it's common for people to change jobs frequently, while others expect you to stick around for at least a year.
Do you have a good relationship with your boss? If so, sit down with him or her and be frank about your plans and concerns. Say "I really like my current job, but I also want to explore opportunities that are related to my field. What do you recommend?" Keep in mind that in this economy, a job you truly want may be a long time coming -- and you could perhaps gain some valuable experience in your current job.
Good luck!

Yes, but get a load of this... You do not any more know the futurity of it all any more than the company does for which you are working knows.
Second, do you think for a moment that that company is not as well looking for opportunities just as you are doing? You bet it is -- else it will not stay a company, in which case you would not stay employed with it.
Third, as to appearances, well... I refer you to the second item above that I just oulined. No job, no person, no company can be said permanent, especially in light of what has ensued over the course of the past year.
For now you are to keep to the quietude -- hold your counsel. Keep pulling down the data...in silence; observing.
