Why do gays fight for adoption rights?

If what they do is natural and normal why don't they make their own babies?

Update:

Why are all gays infertile?

Update 2:

myrrdin_810, Why does everything have to be an extreme? Why do you have to pick the best homosexual parent and the worst heterosexual parent and use that comparison to make your point?

Update 3:

Lee, I asked this question to determine the logic behind calling a gay relationship normal or natural. How can something natural be so unpurposeful?

So by your argument, straight couples who can't naturally have kids should not have adoption rights either.

Mac thats a mean spirited thing to say. I do wish that we could see studies on whether their adopted children are more likely to identify as gay. To me that is the deciding factor. If there is a relationship between being adopted by a gay couple and turning out to be gay later in life, to me this is influencing the child a way they would not otherwise have gone. If there is no relationship or it is minimal, I would gladly support gay rights towards adoption. Sadly I don't think there is any research on this.

most US states even the most conservative with exception of a few DO NOT ban gay adoption. Why? Because they know the importance gays play in adopting older high needs children and to take them off the public dole.

In europe, on the other hand, gay adoption is actually illegal in even sweden (France banned gay adoption in 2006 nationwide) because in europe the government safety net is still a strong part of culture.

adoption isn't permitted by fundamentalist islam, either... now i have a question for you....

do you think susan smith's two little boys would rather have been adopted by a loving gay couple who would take good care of them, provide for them, and raise them to be responsible adults....

    OR....

were they happier having a heterosexual mommy who strapped them into their car seats and pushed the car into a lake in an attempt to please her boyfriend?

Source(s): . edit: i pick the extreme examples to show that sexual orientation shouldn't be an issue in adoption. the ability to provide a loving, nurturing home for the children should be the only criterion. as many before me pointed out, "inability to conceive" is not a valid reason to deny someone a chance at providing a home and raising a family.

Sorry, but your "question" contains absolutely NO logic.
