Safe to wear this necklace?
Hello. I'm not very knowledgeable when it comes to jewelery had a question about a necklace that someone gave me. The necklace is 4k gold and I was just wondering if it was safe to take it into the water (i.e. the shower) or wear it while I'm at the gym (where I'm usually sweating). I just don't want to wear it if I can risk damaging it either through water or perspiration

No If I were you, then I wouldn't wear it in the shower or in Gym. Water will rust it out. So, it's better not to just to be in the safe side.

I'd say tight is safer because it wont get caught on anything or wind up in a knot. But not too tight that it's uncomfortable.

if its real gold and not Sterling silver with plated gold its fine it will be ok but be careful it sounds beautiful
