Health Insurance with a prior condition?
I am a (currently) healthy, young woman who is a non smoker, etc. and I am unable to buy insurance because I had cervical cancer.
I am able to pay any amount that they would ask from me; I was paying nearly $700/mo in insurance just for me until Aetna dropped me because I had another abnormal test (brought me out of remission).
I don't care how much I have to pay, I just want health insurance. I need to go to the doctor for routine things, like back pain or a sinus infection.
How do I get coverage?

Get health insurance that excludes coverage on your preexisting conditions.
Or see if you can have a doctor that is a private doctor that accepts a yearly fee to see you. Its not insurance, just a club plan if you will. There aren't to many around but ask your current doctor.
But really if you are willing to pay any amount, then you don't need insurance, just pay for your regular doctor's visits out of pocket and get a life, limb, or accidental death life policy.

Unfortunately, it sounds like they have you by the proverbial balls. I would call around to different insurance agencies and see what they can offer. Tell them your history and some will accept you ... but for a price. Also, finding a job that has health benefits would help greatly (or your husband's/significant other's job). Sometimes these insurance agency will cover you no matter your history. Just keep looking.

This is America, you can't really. I can't either because I have a pre-existing condition that some doctors don't even believe is real.
