Does the military already have socialized medicine?

Don't they already have millions of customers? Who do you think pays for their medical care?

In a sense, but they also offer insurance if you get care off base. Also, while many military medical facilities are excellent, they are certainly not the draw for the best medicine has to offer. The majority of medical talent will go elsewhere to seek better financial opportunities and technology. So, often, you find better care off base. Yeah, this does sound like socialized medicine. Everyone is trying to go somewhere else like the USA to get better care!

The military medical care is paid for by the same taxes that pay for the defense budget. This is not socialism, it's part of the defense budget, understand? And by the way, I was in the Navy, and trust me you do not want the government running your health care. And if you're talking about the VA, same story.
