What is your opinion on spiritually advancing by: Meditating, smoking pot, witchcraft, and the occult?

Pot is not a psychedelic.

Meditation is a spiritual practise ,and can be beneficial to spiritual seekers . (It lowers blood pressure too).

Witchcraft is a spiritual path followed by many. A lot of good ppl practise the positive forms of it.

THe occult is a sort of grab bag of mostly medieval beliefs. It originally meant "hidden"and included many different forms of mysticism, esoteric teachings including Christian mysticism . Nowadays ,thanks to Hollywood and Fundamentalist propaganda,the word has taken on a negative connotation, of devil worshiping cults and sacrifices, and general horror movie stuff,and other negativity.

Yes, mysticism and open minded spiritual searching will lead to spritual advancement. Drugs such as acid (LSD) and other hallucinogens have been used spiritually, but the danger far outweighs any benefits. Once you burn your God given brain out , you are of no use spiritually or materially. I survived the 60's and have seen it happen. Psychedelics open up too mch in too short of a time, and cause permanent damege to the brain.

Meditation and study would be my path.

The first thing I would like to say is that maybe(I don't know) spiritual advancement is not possible because the Higher Self is perfect already.When the Higher Self wants to experience through the person and because everyones Higher Self is different it can be good for that person to use drugs, of course never harddrugs like heroine and cocaine but the paddo's,marihuana,hasjish,peyotl,ahyahuasca and bad for another depending also on the fase of one's life.The same can be said about meditating,witchcraft and the occult.

Some psychedelics may alter perception so that one can then become aware of other planes or dimensions. I don't feel that pot can be included in this category. I smoked weed for over a decade, and although I thought that it brought me some measure of spiritual evolution, I eventually concluded that this progress was illusory.

I use to be an occultist and then one day i began smoking weed. So then after that, i found true enlightment and have never looked back. I no longer need to smoke to know my truths. But at the same time, some people really need to be careful with the drugs because it could drag them down instead of enlightening them. Fortunetly, i wasnt one of those people.

Look up "The 8 Circuits of Concsiousness" by Robert Anton Wilson, also Carl Jung and Aleister Crowley are great for helping to understand the mysteries of the mind. Not to mention all the great music, art, and science this sort of stuff has inspired.

why stop at just one like you said you need a frame of referance so with that being said a frame has four sides not one and you don't want to leave one or more out now do you ?

there is nothing wrong with meditation, because is human nature to do so is not something that is being done just now, because is a form of thinking and well what will be of us if we did not think, but the rest o the stuff you mentioned is DEVILISH. why? because you are either doing it in the name of the devil{anything other than god is devilish} or you just not in your right state of mind.

Meditation is the highest form of perfection. Any religion that says neigh is fooling themselves.

Mediating: Not really my thing.

Smoking pot: Sure for recreation.

Witchcraft: Interesting.

The Occult: Interesting.

I am into all of these except for smoking pot.. But I'm not anti pot either. Its ok in moderation.
