How do you turn off capitals?

I was typing a paper and I tried to capitalize the first word of a sentence using shift and I accidentally hit something else at the same time and now it wants to write the whole thing in caps. It's not cap lock I already checked. My computer skills are very limited thanks.

Update:

thanks oxyguy3 it worked.

In Microsoft Word, you might have "All caps" turned on. It's used to make a document capitalized if you already typed it with Caps Lock turned off. To turn it off, click the Format tab, select "Font...", and uncheck the "All caps" checkbox in the pop-up that will appear.

    Good luck!

There is a caps lock key over on the left side of your keyboard just above your shift key. Press it to lock or unlock your caps.

Your shift button might be stuck or you might've pressed a button that enables Capitals on the Program your using..
