I am going to Atlanta from 9/24-9/27 what do you recommend for fun?

I am going to the Petit La Mans Friday and Saturday but will be in town on Thursday morning and have the whole day to explore. We will also have a good portion of the day on Sunday. I've heard there are parks up there do you recommend a park with certain activities? What about in town in Atlanta during the day?

I would like to hear your suggestions.

I'd recommend Stone Mountain. It's on the east side of the city off of US 78 east of I-285; it's closer to Road Atlanta than downtown attractions. You can climb the mountain or take a chairlift to the top, or ride a train around the mountain. It has lots of lakes to fish in and various nature trails and a petting zoo, among other attractions. On Sunday, when there's less commuter traffic in downtown, check the World of Coke and Georgia Aquarium, a bit touristy, but still interesting nonetheless, and be sure to have lunch at the Varsity east of the Georgia Tech campus and I-75 on North Avenue (US 78/278).

oh gosh, where to start? well if you like sports and what not, go the famous restaurant in buckhead , espn zone or if you wanna keep it classy, go to the cheesecake factory which is located right next to espn zone! if you would like to go shopping you should go to atlantic station. H&M, marble slab creamery, California pizza kitchen, american eagle, journey's and alot more are located there! Also visit the cnn center in atlanta. There are always alot of events going on in Atlanta so i suggest going on this website, ajc.com, to find events and directions to these places and many more!
