What Car should I buy for $10,000?
I want to buy a car between 2000-2006 for about $10,000 (maybe a little more if its worth it). I want something that nice looking, fast, and semi-reliable. Looking around the only two cars that really interest me are an Audi A4 1.8T and a Honda S2000. What are some other options of cars that are quick, newer than 2000 and under $10k?

Though a lot of Americans don't do this, I would start buy suggesting you drive a cheaper car for a few years given your income and lack of credit - remember, consumers got us in this financial crisis, not the fed govt or banks. Find a car for $4,000, take out a loan and pay it off within a year to build credit and drive the car for a few years, it will lose minimal value since it will have already depreciated considerably. You will also be able to save money with insurance because if you own the car you don't have to carry collision (do this once the car depreciates below $2,000), if you owe on the car you are required to hold the more costly insurance. If you want to purchase this car for 10k, you will most likely be able to secure a loan, but remember the interest rate will be up since you have no credit (don't you have a cell phone?), you don't need a down payment, but they may want a co-signer (stay out of this, it's not worth risking a relationship over a car). Best way to find out is to ask a bank, but if you ask multiple banks, do it within a few weeks so the constant credit checking they will do won't hurt your credit.
