What is a good conflict to start with for a short story?
I wanted the story to end with a flower blooming or something along those lines to represent hope... Any ideas? Thanks :)

that flower idea is really cool i think somebody should have a sister or a mother who has cancer and dies but she some how is still contacting her by speaking to her and she's replying. it would be really nice from first person

War or loss of a loved one. The flower could represent hope through peace, or hope through new life.
