Illegals vs Cubans or Vietnamese.?

I am getting so tired of hearing conservatives railing against illegals from south of the border...isn't it time we start wondering and maybe worrying about the Cubans who have such a hold on politics here? They get a free pass and all the social services...funny thing is talk to any of them and they were all doctors or lawyers and from well to do families...Same thing I hear from all the Vietnamese refugees I meet in my area...why not send them all home and let them make their country work...why should we accept some but not others? I would take a Mexican or Salvadoran with a family back home who is simply trying to make their life bearable over a Cuban or a Viet who knows how to work the system...gives nothing back and wants to change the country to benefit them... any day! We had major protests a few months ago because veit nam wanted to open a consulate here and the Viet community was against it...older generation most young were for it....THey hold a concert in Havana and Cubans here go loco... Thoughts?

Update:

Born and bred American(white) with ancestors here from 1700's...Just do not see why we should favor one group over another...and btw...there are a lot more illegals in this country than just Mexican.

Well, it's pretty simple- these are remnants from the Cold War; The Cubans and Vietnamese are escaping Communism, which was what we were fighting against, if you recall.

We almost went to war with the former Soviet Union because they had installed ICBMs in Cuba. Cuba was also the only Communist country in our hemisphere. I hope I don't have to tell you what happened in Vietnam. Needless to say, our government sort of bailed out and left our former allies stranded.

The reason we let these two groups come in with a "legal" or "refugee" status is due to politics.

As far as Mexico goes, they are and will tell you ad nauseaum, that they are a sovereign country. We haven't been at war with them since we beat them back in the 1840's. As for El Salvador, we were somewhat involved in their civil war, but not to the extent that we were in Southeast Asia. They now have a democratically elected government, as does Mexico. It is for these reasons that they do not get any sort of "special" treatment, and thus, have to follow our rules if they want to come here legally.

    PS

In case you're not aware, we're also starting to take in Iraqi and Afghan refugees. The way it works is, if we f*ck up your country, then we let you come here as a kind of "apology"...

I see your point, however, there are very, very few people that understand the system as a whole and refuse to accept the real truth. Many say and think that it's a simple matter to obtain legal papers but the fact of the matter is that many of them HAVE tried to go through the system legally and have been denied (and more than likely several times) before attempting to enter this country illegally, thus creating a 'cash cow' for the system as a whole - at $200 (or more) per appointment and denial to over 100 per day, to only return to be denied again, how much money are they not making? However, it is far cheaper to enter this country legally than illegally, not to mention, less riskier. To enter illegally can be anywhere from $2,500.00 per person and up.

Cubans integrate so I have no problem with them. The children of Vietnamese immigrants integrate as well. Mexicans it depends but the illegals certainly do not integrate.

And you are pretty racist to accuse all Mexicans of being Mestizos. Mexican is a nationality, not a race.

There are already plans contained in the works to end the moist foot dry foot coverage whilst Castro dies. Bush has indicated that's going to normalize relatives on immigration which will incorporate extra kin type immigration and much less moist foot dry foot type immigration, in basic terms like Mexico. it is not Mexico it somewhat is taken care of unfairly. inspite of this provision extra are permit in legally from Mexico than from the different united states of america contained in the international. inspite of the undeniable fact that, the Cuba venture is unique to them; Haiti would not get it the two. that's born of chilly conflict politics and is using be rethought.

I agree with you on this but dude, those immigrants from Cuba and Vietnamese are only a fraction comparing to illegal immigrants from mexico which consist 70% of all immigrants that come here. What actually do mexicans give back if they're here illegally?Do they pay taxes? Don't they use Government's help if their children are sick? You must be a mexican if you're saying this kind of absurd.

EDIT:Of course nobody is favoring this,I'm also not favoring help to Jewish, blacks and other refugees. All illegals should be deported of course but illegals from maxico create more problems and they come here in the biggest amount(70%),That's why we're generalizing them from bad side.
