What's The Best Ingredient For Exfoliating (in Homemade Soap)?

I'd like to add a little bit of exfoliation and scrub to my everyday bars (instead of purchasing exfoliating soap), but I'm not sure what is best- finely ground oatmeal? Cornmeal? Sea Salt?

It's going to be used for my body, not face. Any help?

Welcome to my section lol. anyways....use brown sugar. not just any sugar. Moscavado sugar may be substituted as well.

I use a mixture of sea salt and lemon juice. I don't have exact measurements or anything, I just combine them until I think the mixture would work to cleanse and exfoliate with, but I use it 3-4 times a week in the shower and I love it. I use to break out on a normal basis and now I only do when I get my period (which is something I can't really change) and even then its not near as bad as it use to be.

Good luck! I hope this helps

Sugar. Its really nice, plus you can mix that with a tiny bit of olive oil and it makes a paste that exfoliates really nicely.
