can flat ironing your hair also fade the hair dye?

Yeah I had the same problem when i dyed my hair black about a week later it was about 2 shades lighter than died because i straighten my hair every day.. so i redyed my hair again and used a protective spray made for straighting hair and it helped so much my hair didnt fade nearly as much!! you can email me at brittanywazhere@hotmail.com if you want a list of some good sprays that totally work. also clorine from pools fade it some.. :]

Yes it most definitely can. Drying too much, swimming in a chlorine pool. Basically anything can lighten the hair after it's dyed. Some are just more noticeable than others.

yes the heat makes the artificial color come out your hair. you should look for the spray that protects your hair from heat, it wont help the color problem but it can make your hair a lot healthier if you iron it every day

I Don't think that straighteners fades the hair dye, its just when you straighten your hair, the heat makes it lighter. Mine does that, i have light brown hair, and it makes it super light brown :P

try a heat protectant spray before you start straightening. It is going to seal the cuticle with a silicon substance that will prevent damage to your hair.

i died my hair red and i havnt found the time to iron it but i used it this morning but i didnt turn it on ,..........so iron it with out the hottness or dont iron it or let it fade ur choice

yer ironing your hair will drain the colour really quikly an wen you over wash your hair that also drains your dye

No it cant yo shouldn't ave dyed your hair in the first place you will have to wash it aloyt to make it come out

yea it does cause mine was black and know its dark black :[
