Top 10 Worst Anime of All Time?

Well I'm going to be hated probably by everyone for my staunch opinions and I'm ONLY listing things I've completed! Nothing I've dropped as I feel it is unfair to call something the "worst" unless I've watched it from start to finish because occasionally things pick up at the end. It seems like too many people watch 2 episodes say they "hate it" and then list it on here without actually being able to justify any more than because it's "harem" or "action" or whatever.

LOL AND AT the oh so mature person who's thumbing everyone down, I think they need to realise that everyone has different tastes, what some people like others hate and that's what makes this question interesting and in fact people in general. It is neither wrong or right to dislike something that you like, so grow up.

Yeah I watched a couple of episodes of Shuffle! Memories and thought, I really can't be bothered to watch the rest and watched it slowly (like one every so often because it was so pointless).

To be honest the numbering isn't the order of how bad they are, because all of these are as bad as eachother. Having watching over 200 series I can pretty much tell you that atleast 15 have been unbelievably bad.

1. School Days.

>> Just terrible, about a guy who cheats on a whole heap of pathetic harem girls who throw themselves over him even though he's a pile of crap and has no charisma, personality or anything. Then suddenly he gets a taste for sex, cheats on them and ends up dead by a murderous pair of girls. Exaggerated? Yes. Terrible? Yes. Waste of time? Definately, save yourself the trouble of watching this one.

2. Ai Yori Aoshi.

>> Again about a guy with no real charm, he's... Well BORING. The only girl who interested me in this harem-pile of boringness was one of the side characters (Tina), she had a lot more depth than the soul-less 'perfect' Aoi. She cooks, cleans, constantly wears a kimono and is well, perfect? Does a girl like this exist in real life? Not unless you're the traditionalist sexist guy looking for the perfect bit of totty and you don't care if you're essentially falling for a doll.

3. Gift ~An Eternal Rainbow~.

>> Perhaps here my opinion stands bias, I'm not a huge fan of harem or mahou shoujo. So this was a combination that just sent me off to sleepland. It's really lacking plot, characters and romance just came out flat. It was just average and lacking in every respect. I mean some do the combination okay like Happiness! was surprisingly a quite decent watch even if it isn't my usual preference (proving it can be done, emphasising how bad Gift was).

4. Smash Hit!

>> Lolicon reaches it's height here (much like the awful Kanokon which doesn't get placed here simply because I dropped it). Call me boring or whatever the hell you like, but little girls in anime parading around near naked, does nothing for me and in fact completely disgusts me. I watched this by accident and I have a terrible way of if I start something I have to finish watching it. Unfortunately Smash Hit! like the others I'm listing here, I watched from start to finish and it was just creepy and I didn't enjoy it in the slightest. Smash Hit also lacks a co herant story, although the plot itself is simple, it's repetitive and the pacing is all wrong which makes it difficult to follow.

5. Gokinjo Monogatari.

>> I love Ai Yazawa, so I eagerly watched this series only to be not only completely let down but just absolutely gutted. It was a complete shambles, plot-less, limited and terrible. I wondered before I watched it (with the fame of Nana and Paradise Kiss) why no one had watched this particular series of Yazawa and I now know why, because it's her worst work by far. Gokinjo was full of shallow and annoying characters, where the characters were likeable in the sequal Paradise Kiss, in Gokinjo they were just fickle. That doesn't change either, the apparent and obvious lack of character development holds back the story and unbelievably disappointing amount and makes it very dull and frustrating to watch.

6. InuYasha.

>> Hate me or thumb me down I don't care, I thought it was a plot-less waste of time. It was not only painfully repetitive with the most annoying set of characters ever, it was just boring, it starts with potential and then gradually fails. Kagome was the most irritating girl ever, she was constantly whining, complaining and pestering. One thing I have to see in anime is character development, and I saw absolutely none except minor amounts in Inuyasha. I just found myself getting increasingly fed up as I watched this anime that had been recommended by so many, coming out thinking that was not at all what it had been built up to be by so many.

7. Itazura Na Kiss.

>> Cheesy romance at it's peak. I like a good drama, and a good comedy now and again and found myself drawn to this series back when it had just come out. It was so cheesy, stupid (and I mean dense!) girl falls in love with the popular, intelligent, cold guy? Cliche much? Ofcourse this doesn't change Kotoko stays dense and for some reason the truly obnoxious Irie falls for her. No that would not happen in real life, it does not make for good comedy and I came out of the end still feeling like Irie was obnoxious.

8. Chobits

>> Yes this will also give me thumbs down from the people who just like anything by CLAMP, whether it's good or bad (Frankly that really annoys me, people can be a fan of a mangaka and NOT have to like all of their work, especially the people who sing about CLAMP just to look like they know what they are talking about). In storyline Chobits had a lot of potential, Hideki's emotional situation was certainly interesting to observe but it's excution was unbelievably bad.

Does that not make nearly the entire male population in Chobits just fickle and after looks? Fortunately not ALL guys are like that, some look for substance as well. Hideki is well your typical harem male lead, he has no real stand-out personality traits to make him individual.

9. Ajimu Kaigan Monogatari.

>> Fickle romance, love at first sight and full of cliches. I thought that anime these days would try and avoid all that trash but evidentally not. Ajimu is a fine example of horrible, predictable romance full of plot holes and characters that are so basic in their responses you could basically predict what they are going to say word-for-word before they say it. Nothing unpredictable, no sudden twist in the story to make it interesting, and comedy that remains to be typical of a harem series.

>> Also I found Hirosuke obsessive, I watched him go about dealing with his feelings for this girl and found him to be almost a stalker but we are suppose to sympathise with him? I can't relate to him in the slightest.

10. Love Hina.

>> Slapstick comedy is not my style. It's especially bad when the jokes never change or vary is anyway. Each episode Keitaro clumsily walks in one someone naked and they kick him in the face for it, funny maybe the first couple of times, then... It's boring, then it's painfully boring and then you just think when is this going to stop? Oh look I've only watched 3 minutes into the episode and it's happened again.

Some of them I don't know then some of them I totally agree with you. Duel Masters is a rip off of Yu-Gi-Oh and deserves to be on all of out top 10 worst manga lists.

I don't know why Naruto is on your list because I like the series even though I fall asleep during half of the show, But we all got opinions.

Then theres Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo. I wouldn't put it on my top 10 worst anime but I WOULD not put it on my top 10 best. First of all it shows the creators are to obsessed with randomness and there characters having their eyeballs bulge out a foot out of their skulls every 3 minutes. Then you have to deal with weird things that would make you just wanna die if any of your friends knew you watched it.

I agree with you on most of these however I don't know some of these animes too.

My top 10 worst would have the new pokemon series.

In my opinion I think the pokemon series died once they started battle fronter. The first few seasons kicked *** because it involved the comical misgeif (bad spelling) that was funny in the 1990s. Advanced battle was ok but they left some things out that they didnt explain. However I hate DP because its the boring same thing over and over again. All they do now catch/evolve pokemon, battle for badges or contests and meet new friends....Whats the point in that? That not entertainment. Pokemon is hoping on the fail train along with the rest of CN. But thats a diffrent story.

One more anime that irritates me is Inuyasha. I can barely understand it because they always show reruns and not the series in order. Plus they change plots sometimes. Im not sure how I can explain it and I might get hated for it but I jsut dont like it. But Im not gonna explain more to avoid more hate.

Vampire Knight. After losing interest in the manga I thought perhaps the anime would be good but it's just as boring and the whole thing is confusing after a while.

Yugi Oh 5-D or Yugi Oh GX - Why can't they just leave it alone and stick with the original series?!

Pichi Pichi Mermaid. Mermaids that sing can defeat enemies? Wth! This is another cheap imitation of Sailor Moon.

How can you hate Sailor Moon? It's one of the classics of classics.

2) Double Zeta Gundam, okay what the hell was the point of this anime. Zeta Gundam was excellent and then they made Double Zeta Gundam and seriously dropped the ball a major disappointment

I don't think I've ever watched an anime that I would call garbage. I guess that's a good sign. There's a lot of anime I didn't like, but the products were still quality for the people who like that sort of thing. But I don't do my "shopping" on the "clearance rack" either, I would have to purposely seek a bad anime to find it I guess.

1. Lucky Star: You need to watch over 9000 shows to fully enjoy it.

2. To-Love-Ru: Sh!t show is sh!t.

3. Vampire Knight: Hurr enjoy your Twilight.

4. Mars of Destruction: "...Whatever."

5. Half-hour commercials such as Beyblade, Crush Gear, B-Daman etc.

6. Gundam Seed Destiny. Rehash of a rehash.

10. A lot of shounen. Most of them are rip-offs of Dragonball and ALL of them have something in common. Some include: Hyperactive mains, screaming out attacks etc.

Loads more, they're the reason 80% of anime sucks nowadays.

Take note that there are worse shows out there, it's just that they never got popular since no one gave a sh!t.

A few more:

The fillers in GitS: SAC. They were good, but they broke the momentum of the Lauging Man case. You wanted to see what happens next yet they show you a filler (yet still pretty good) episode afterwards.

While actually a good show, Legend of the Galactic Heroes was a pretty good sleeping aid as well.

Yes, I still recommend these 2 if you DON'T have ADD.

Zeta Gundam kinda sucked. Maybe I had high expectations but Gundam's main focus is on the battles. And who wants to see badly-animated ones? It must have been good before but all I can see is kid falls into cockpit blalblabla. KAMILLE IS A GIRL'S NAME AND YOU'RE A GIRL!
