Sty on the eyelid...?
How do I get rid of the sty that is in the middle of the eyelid, not on the edge.
I've had those before, they are like bumps, they are very persistent and usually stick around for a long, long time (even up to a year). I've had them burnt off before, but now I would like to deal with it in a different way (predominantly because I don't have health insurance)

Oh wow, talk about deja-vu, I like JUST got over one, like last week, and on my eye lid too. My optometrist gave me some eye drops, and believe it or not *checks my pocket* :P I have them with me, *looks* they're called Prednisolone. and then it says AC 1% Eye Drop. It's a mild steroid that apparently speeds up the response time of the sty going away. I had to use these babies 4 times a day for a week, and then over the course of another week, tone the doses down from 4, to 3, to 2, and then finally to 1 until I finally got rid of it. Oh and the Pharmaceutical company that makes this is apparently called "Falcon Pharmaceutcals." Now I noticed you have no health insurance, so I don't know how much this might cost ya, I for one have mine, I'm sorry if you don't v.v good luck, I hope in some small way, I helped ya.

Are you sure its a sty? usually a sty is just a viral thing and it usually goes away after a week or so. Not a year, that sounds way too long. If it doesnt hurt, it is not a sty. I have had calcium build-ups on my eyelids before. They look like white kinda bumps. They can be as small as a pencil point or as big as a mosquito bite. If thats the case, there is not much you can do. They will eventually hurt and be able to be popped.

Use a tea bag (as hot as you can stand it) as a heat compress. The heat and tannic acid combined will help minimize the size of the sty.
