Photo Organizer to sort pictures into folders...?

I need a free program that will organize my archive of photos into it's own folder sorted by the date they are taken. Are there any programs that you can recommend?

My platform is Windows. I do not need to edit the pictures, I just need to sort them into folders. My extremely large archive has become much messy that's why I need a program to do it for me now.

    Walmart has a device that does it in one hour for 19 cents a replica for 4 x 6 or a Kodak device which will do an 8x 10 at recent for (i think of) 5 or 6 money. I hear Walgreens even have reliable ones.
