Well he should find out his ship out date. He'll go to BCT for the first week or so he'll be in reception (doing paperwork, getting shots...stuff like that) then once started he might be able to call you most Sundays for about 10-15 minutes, mostly you'll just have to write letters. Graduation is pretty cool to see, the first day would be family day and you have to stay on base, the second day is graduation and after graduation you can go off base, you'll only be able to see him for 2 days if you go to his basic graduation. AIT he'll like a lot better then BCT he still has pt in the mornings and for the first few weeks he'll have classes all day long but once done with classes then they actually get to start working...he'll have personal time normally from 5-9 or so, sometimes the srg.'s are nice and let them stay up later. He'll be able to have his phone with him on his personal time (he'll have it the whole time but that's the only time their supposed to have it out). After AIT he'll get a duty station...right now most people that get stationed stateside have been deploying within a few months after AIT...if your "lucky" he'll get stationed overseas and most of the time if your already overseas then he won't be deployed from there. Get ready for one of the hardest times in your life, you'll get use to it...just remember to stay strong. If all is good, shortly after MEPS he will get a ship date to basic training(I think Army basic is like 10 weeks). After basic he'll go to advanced individual training or a technical school(Mine was 11 months). After that you usually get to take leave before reporting to permanent duty station(Here or overseas). Hope this helps.

in this form of attempt against almost every person is in a dangerous state. IEDs are everywhere and look like danger unfastened products so every person from the front observer to the rear echelon purely utilising factors ought to get slammed. He purely needs to consistently be on his shield and have confidence no person over there.

while at meps he will find out his job and when he will leave for boot camp.
while he is at boot camp dont expect to hear much from him. they dont get to call much. write him and send him little packages of stuff he might need. ie...extra soap, razors, stamps.
i dont know how you are financially but it would be a good idea for you to get married before you go. on top of his base pay you will recieve BAH. that is to cover your house/appartment. plus you will be a dependent and its better on taxes. then when he gets orders to his first command they will pay for you and him to move wherever you go. they will also move your household goods for you.
its fine to want a big wedding but i think you would be best off if you just went to a courthouse before he leaves.
good luck.

Well after mep he will also sign his contract and find out when he will be sent out for training and where.
It really is hard once he leaves for training, usually in basic you will be lucky to get to talk with him once a week and you will rely on mailny letters for communication. Its rough but stick by your man through it all he will be going through alot more then us gals do back home.
My husband is currently stationed out in Korea, i got to spend a month with him after training before he was sent out for a year tour there.

Anywhere from 2 to 6 months from now, he will ship to basic training ( 9 weeks )
Then go to AIT to learn his job, ( 2 months )
get a couple weeks leave ( vacation )
Then report to his first duty station.
