NIPPLE PEIRCING- SKIN AROUND IT?
hey i got my nipple peirced like.. 2 months ago
anyway had a too small bar and i thought that was why like i had 2 like .. we they arent scabs their like pushed down skin from the bar.
i dont have a ring i have a bar.. anyway so i went and spent 30 bucks on a longer bar
but the okay.. ill describe it
'under the rwo sides of the bar is like the outline of the bar itself. like when u sleep with a bracelet on and u get the marks and they take a while to get rid of
thats what it looks like.. but its moist and it hurts a bit.'
i still have like the discharge coming from the peicing and its a little bit dry.
i was just wondering whether if i got a ring if that would cause the same problem. or i should just stick with the bar and see if it heals
also does salt water work better then the peircing spray'
and since i cant put mosturiser on it
what can i do to stop it drying.
and it doesnt get any sun to it so.. is this okay?
im a 16 y.o female and a d cup

sea salt soaks are far more beneficial than just using h2ocean. imagine if you were really sore. would you get in the hot tub and soak for an hour, or just stand by the edge and splash the water on yourself? soak it. go to safepiercing.org for instructions.
try to find some emu oil, at a piercing shop. it will help the dryness and it helps a lot with healing.
h2ocean is a good product, but soaking will make them feel a lot better. start out 3 times a day.

I'm not sure its that the bar was too short as much as you are still swollen from the piercing and your skin has accomodated to the piercing by letting itself be molded tot he shape of your jewelry, like when you wear a ring on your finger for a long tim the take it off you have an indent that lasts days/weeks before it goes away. same thing here.
You should wait the recommended amount of time your piercer gave you before switching to hoops. If you switch too soon your piercing will heal curved which can be a problem later.
You would do a SEA salt soak but it is the same and the H2Ocean spray, both sea salt, both draw out the bad stuff and promote healing. IF you do this yourself you have to make sure you buy actual SEA SALT or you could do more harm than good. The H2Ocean spray is a convenient spray can so no mixing required...your choice.
As far as drying out and discharge i would try to get away with not wearing a bra as much as possible, i too am a d cup and i know how hot it gets in there, which isn't helping the sanitary/healing process. i know they don't want you to use neosporin type ointments/gels/creams but not even moisturizer? i think a non-comodogenic facial moisturizer for sensitive skin might be good for just barely going on the nipple itself because it is made to be super gentle and not clog pores.
I also recommend just dropping by your piercers studio and asking for their professional opinion about what is happening since they actually know and can help.

Sounds like you need a longer bar, or a ring. The bar you have sounds like it's too short, and is putting pressure on your nipple. This is what happened when I got my belly pierced. The bar was too short, which meant it was really tight, and hurt when I moved. I got a longer bar, which fixed everything. A ring would be good too, because it wouldn't put any pressure on it. Rings are easier to clean too, because you can just turn them. Salt water is better than piercing spray, but you can't use salt with iodine in it (like table salt). Sun doesn't make a difference. Hope I helped.

That was a really stupid thing to do.
Why would you pierce you're nipples?
