That's not what Obama said. I'm no fan of Obama, but can take the time to read the transcript of today's UN speech and figure out what he is asking of the UN. Obama commented that the leaders of the world are failing to address "common" challenges, and asking that they step up to the plate to address problems that are not unique to the US, but affect everyone across the globe. He's asking for global cooperation.

From that, I don't see how you can conclude that he is asking world leaders to "help" the US.
