I want to lose 20 pounds asap!?
I want to lose a permanent 20 pounds, asap, with permanent results! I'm fourteen years old, am 5'6" and weigh 140lbs. I'm not very patient, so I wouldn't be able to wait for a while. I need something healthy and something you don't have to buy. PLEASE HELP

I found this on this website. There are more tips and info.
1. If what you are eating has less than 1 carb, count it as 1 carb just to be sure.
2. Totally avoid caffine at least for the first two weeks on the program.
3. Drink a MINIMUM of 8 glasses of plain water or seltzer daily.
4. Don't weigh yourself more than once a week
5. Take starting measurements as well as weight - sometimes you'll lose inches before pounds
6. Avoid any type of "low carb" sweetener for the first two weeks
7. Don't compare your loss to someone else's - this is a YMMV thing (your milage may vary)
8. Stalls are common around the third week so don't panic
9. If you follow your plan to the T and don't lose, consider Candida as a possibility and avoid vinegar, cheese, mushrooms and any other fermented food
10. Have bloodwork done before starting so you have a comparison
11. Cholesterol can be elevated in the first few weeks til your body adjusts - make sure your doctor knows that you're doing low carb and when you started
12. Don't blame the diet if you don't read your plan book -- blame the diet if you don't read the labels -- Don't blame the diet if you don't follow the diet

Give yourself at least 2 months. Sorry but if you want to lose weight permanently you have to be patient and work hard. 1250 calories a day plus 30 minutes of cardio should do it. The only fast way is to starve yourself, and the weight loss you get from starving yourself only lasts until you start eating again. You have a good weight loss goal though, 20 pounds would put you at a healthy weight. Kudos to that part. However you HAVE to be patient, especially if you want this to be permanent.

20 pounds fast at your age will ruin you.
Losing it too quickly will stunt your growth. It will also make you have loose skin and reduce it's elasticity. If you ever have a baby, you'll have disgustingly loose skin because you gain weight so rapidly then shrink down a bunch.
Stick to two pounds a week.. MAX!
Just replace everything you eat before noon with tons of fruits and veggies, run for a while in the morning and at night to spike your metabolism twice, and spread out your meals a bit more. This along with the running will keep you burning fat all day. Also, don't drink anything with calories. Stick to water. And no diet soda. The reason it has no calories is because you don't digest the ingredients such as aspartane. It builds up in your stomach causing you to have more fat, and it makes it harder than normal fat because it's loaded with perservatives and such. Natural foods such as fruits and veggies lessen this effect and make the weight easier to lose.
If you follow this, you could potentially lose over two pounds a week, and keep your skin because you're actually going to be very full from eating a lot of fruits and veggies.

So would I. But you aren't going to lose that much weight fast. You lose on average (w/ calories reducing and excercise) 2 pounds of fat a week. It will take a while to lose 20 pounds. Especially since you are not extremely overweight.

ok it depends on how long you got 3day or 3weeks. but you can lose 20lbs in a month but its a lot of running and everything you will be eating will be green X_X and water only!!. it's all up to you and the work you are will willing to put in it.. .bottom line just start running 1 to 3 miles a day and start eating green.

If you eat when you’re anxious, try munching on pumpkin as well as sunflower seeds. You’ll need in order to chew more, which will dissipate several of that energy, but without adding calories.
