Why did God create Atheists?

Now this one will require you to think for at least 2 seconds which I know is extremely hard for average Yahoo Answers answerers.

Before we start this let me remind you that God is all knowing. He knows the past, present, and FUTURE

So, in a Christian perspective, why did God create Atheists?

And don't tell me he did not, God is ALL KNOWING, remember? That means at the end of the day he knows ultimately what our decision will be, so don't you "free will" me. He knows.

Why does He create people knowing they will go to Hell?

Update:

God is more powerful than satan. God created Satan as well knowing what he will do. Wtf.

Update 2:

so than guitarrman, why did God create fools?

Update 3:

How does one define one that lives outside the laws that govern our universe? How does one sense one that exists outside of our known laws? Impossible.

Should I take the religious or non religious perspective here.

The Christian god is know as a Tri-O style diety Omnipotent(all powerful) Omnipresent(all knowing) Omnibenevolent(all good)

So what you are asking is how could something thats all knowing all good and all powerful have athiests if athiests go to hell. A better question is how can a hell even exist for with such a being or rather how can evil in any form natural or otherwise exist to warrent a hell.

The simple answer is evil cant exist, but yet clearly it does, so that means that if a god exists Hes only 2 of the three above.

Either he knows everything and is all good but is powerless against evil

Or hes all powerful all knowing but rather ambivolent towards evil.

Or hes all good and all powerful but evil things escape his knowledge.

But this wont sway a Christian because traditionally they don't really care much for facts. Those are just pesky things which get in the way of blind adherence to dogma.

Everything in this universe had a beginning, so that's all we are capable of understanding. According to all the known laws of physics, etc., every thing , every action, must have had a cause. However, God is not a "part" of this universe. He is the One who created it. Where is he from? We don't know, what else is there besides him? We don't know. How is it possible he could have always existed? We don't know. God is not from this physical universe and he is therefore not bound by its physical laws (such as the law that requires every action to have an equal and opposite reaction, etc.) God is not physical, he is spiritual. That statement right there should be enough to stop any sort of argument from any atheistic scientist, because how can a person scientifically define a spirit being??? It can't be done, it's not a part of this universe, we don't have any concept for it, we have no frame of reference, we have no science for that. The people here who are arguing that "if God didn't need a beginning then the universe didn't need a beginning" that statement goes against all the laws in this universe and you know it. The absolute undeniable proof of God is that there has to be a first cause of anything and everything that has ever happened in this universe. But outside of this universe? We don't know, and we don't need to know. We have been given everything we will ever need to live a happy and full life in this universe so vast and complex that we could spend an eternity exploring it and never see it all.

That is a very good question that does require thought (lol) but let me answer your question with a few of mine first.

Is there such a thing as cold? Technically, no theres not. You can have lots of heat, even more heat, super-heat, mega-heat, unlimited heat, white heat, a little heat or no heat, but we don't have anything called 'cold'. We can hit up to 458 degrees below zero, which is no heat, but we can't go any further after that. There is no such thing as cold; otherwise we would be able to go colder than the lowest -458 degrees.

cold is only a word we use to describe the absence of heat. We cannot measure cold. Heat we can measure in thermal units because heat is energy. Cold is not the opposite of heat, just the absence of it.

Now, is there such a thing as darkness? Again, no there's not. Darkness is not something; it is the absence of something. You can have low light, normal light, bright light, flashing light, but if you have no light constantly you have nothing and it's called darkness, isn't it? That's the meaning we use to define the word. In reality, darkness isn't. If it were, you would be able to make darkness darker, wouldn't you?

Is there such a thing as evil? Evil does not exist or at least it does not exist unto itself. Evil is simply the absence of God. It is just like darkness and cold, a word that man has created to describe the absence of God. God did not create evil. Evil is the result of what happens when man does not have God's love present in his heart. It's like the cold that comes when there is no heat or the darkness that comes when there is no light.

God didn't create an atheist. God gave us a choice whether we want to choose him or not. If everyone choose him then it would be worthless to him. You see, an atheist is just the lack of God like without heat there is cold and without light there is dark.

    Hope that made you think!!!:P

We were all born equal in the eyes of god. What makes you think humans have got it all worked out? PLUUUUUEASE!!!!! We manage to F*#K up our small blue planet. So the fact remains if we can't even look after that and all live in harmony, what gives us the right to think we can understand Gods far bigger plan for humanity. Our known laws are used to govern our dimension as we see it because it is relative to us.

What if there are laws for other dimensions that are not relative to ours?

What source gives us the intelligence to understand the laws and space time theorems that govern our universe? Don't say it was a random single celled creature that evolved from slime to one day fly to the moon. That is as ABSURD as your philosophical questions on God. In a nut shell, God created what he did for balance, opposites in effect, negative positive, yin and yang, truth and lies, black and white!

How can you possibly know that God is all knowing if you're not?

And let me remind you that everybody is an atheist on the day they're born. Therefore, if God created humans he created ONLY atheists. Atheists are born, theists are made by the efforts of other theists.

I ask you - why didn't God create theists?

How do you know you won't change your mind down the road? If you say you will not, then you are guilty of the same closed-mindedness summarily dumped on those of faith.

He did not create atheists. He created a world in which the * possibility * of atheism exists. If God engineered a world in which it was impossible to reject Him, then would we even have the concept of * accepting * Him? It would simply be part of our psyche.

We can dance all around the "free will" concept, but your rejection of it in our answers doesn't mean it is not a valid reason.

Maybe you ought to define god !!!!!!!!!!!

There are few thinking people beyond age 14 or so that DON'T believe in a sky daddy, yet, believe in god.

If you are talking about that nasty desert beardy guy, uhhh, most of us gave that up at about age 8.

    But god is real.

God is in the hand of that surgeon who operated on me a few years ago, and made it possible for me to walk without pain. God is in the Music of Mozart and Bach. God is in the playing of Itzak Pearlman who plays beyond the beyond.

And hon, god is in me when I help a child to learn, and when I rescue dogs no one wants. (I have two right now, and last year, had three, One died of heart failure.). God is me, when I donate my time to animal shelters, and when I tutor kids.

    A sky daddy?

    Some invisible "friend"?

    Oh, honey, wake up.

    Fairytale time is over.

Is there a god???? Most certainly. Just not the god of the Old Testament.

So, does this make me an atheist????????????

    Donno. You decide.

In saying God created atheists are you not also saying God made them disbelieve in him are they without free will and what we believe is deemed us to believe by God is something we have no control over or what?

God didn't create Atheism, the world did. Remember that the world created a bunch of false religions, and also remember that those who worship something other than the All-Mighty God, will be sent to the eternal fires of hell. God gives us the option of weather we want to be saved or not. I hope this helped a bit. God bless you.
