Are you afraid of death? Why or why not?
I used to not be afraid of death, until I met my husband. I was not nearly as scared until my daughter was born, because I would never want her to grow up with out her mother. How do y'all feel?

First of all, let me start off by admitting that "YES," the thought of death does scare me. Now mind you, I am fully aware of the scriptures in Ecclesiastes 9:5, 10, which says that the dead are conscious of nothing at all and in Ezekiel 18:4 which says that the sould that is sinning (which is all of us, since we all were born imperfect), it itself will die.
However, the fact that we were not initially designed to die. That is the part that always has me thinking. By far, the saddest, most depressing, most grievious thing to ever experience is going to a funeral home to view the body (or at least be at an actual service where the body is present) and lying in the casket ever so peacefully is a dear loved one.
I do not know about you, but I get a creepy, tingly feeling when I am in a funeral parlor, primarily because whether you admit it or not, "time and unforseen occurrence befall us all." and instead of seeing our dead loved one resting in the casket in peace, it can very well be our loved ones looking at us in the casket (without our knowing that they are doing such since dead ones are not conscious of anything at all).
When a loved one close to you dies, or anyone that you have strong feelings for dies, there is an emptiness that comes from within. You are so used to having that person around. You call them, you visit them, you associate with them and then, all of that ceases because they have passed. That will certainly cause anyone to feel lonely and empty. The older you get, the more friends, family and other loved ones you lose and the more funerals you go to.
Also, being at funerals also gives me time to reflect on what I am doing with my life so as to make sure that my life is in harmony with they way Jehvoah God wants because I just never know.
John 5:28, 29 (my favorite scripture) brings me much comfort and solace knowing that I have the hope of seeing my dead loved ones again. This is the hope that Jehovah God promises, through Jesus Christ, who is the one who will be resurrecting all those in the memorial tombs as well as the one who speaks the words in verses 28 and 29.

I am not afraid of death as it is a new beginning. The end is never really the end. But, I do not like to think about it too much. I prefer to live this life instead of thinking of the one after death.

I'm not afraid of the concept of dying because I know that as a believer I will be with God in Heaven. Most people don't look for ward to the means of dying. No one really looks forward to possible pain / agony that might be the means of passing into eternity. Are you also saying that now that you are married, you would much rather be alive a Long time to enjoy a long life with him. That's a natural feeling. Having children brings out the maternal instincts. You want to be around to protect them. However, no one knows what God's plan is for our lives. Maybe he will grant you good health and a long life with your family. But maybe He would see fit to take you home to be with Him. God is Very capable of taking care of your children. They are His gift to you. There are lots of kids who's parent passes in an accident or due to illness. God provides other loving people to care for those children. God promises to be with us in good times and in the hard times of life. We can always talk to God / 1st is accepting Him as personal savior and then He wants us to take all our cares and worries to Him. He wants us to see Him as our best friend.

I'm not afraid of death. People have been doing it for years. I am however, afraid of not living life to the fullest.

Know how long eternity is? Of course not, we cannot comprehend it. But it makes a life of 100 years on earth feel like the blink of an eye.
Christians believe in Heaven, an afterlife. We believe that our time on earth is really short compared with eternity, and our time here is just the warm-up period for living with God.
We will die someday, and we want to take as many of you with us into Heaven as we can.
Don't believe in God? Are you willing to bet forever on that?

I'm not afraid of death.
Death is just a portal to the next stage.
Most people are not afraid of death itself, they are afraid of the unknown element -- "What comes next?"
It's fear of the unknown that (pardon the expression) scares them to death.

persons are afraid of loss of existence via fact they do no longer understand something approximately it. human beings see that as no longer taking the present with no attention. in the present day they do no longer look to be afraid of loss of existence in view that's no longer waht is on their minds. at that factor they are afraid of being late or they have another reason ro using like that.

Im not afraid of death, b/c im not afraid of dying. After wards, I will be with the LORD and be filled with Love and PEace, till then I suffer.
BUt i think the concept of how you die is what scares people. Granted nobody wants to be tortured to death for like 12 years or something.

Everybody dies. So, it's as natural as anything else. Live your life to the fullest and death will take care of itself.
