Ideas needed for my daughter's 11th birthday party.?

My daughter is turning 11 and she decided she wanted her theme to be scary stuff. I have no idea where to begin since I've never even really been much into Halloween, let alone planning a party with a scary theme. We were thinking something along the lines of a game where you are blindfolded and have to guess the body part your feeling in a bowl. Fake, of course, like grapes for eye balls. But that is as far as we got. Any ideas would be helpful! Thank you in advance!

Pin the head on the skeleton

If you live near any scary attraction's (london dungeons, York dungeons) you could take her there

Get some friend's over with the theme as 'Scary themed fancy dress'

Of course she is getting older now so she won;t want games like pass the parcel etc.

    Games:

Organize like a treasure hunt to find treat's such as little scary toy's, and some small sweet's.

apple bobbing, and you could put food colouring in the water to make it look like red blood.

A game i played at a halloween party is, put the kids into teams and give them each a toilet roll, 1 person from each team has to be a mummy and the team's have 1 minute to wrap their mummy up in toilet roll, When 1 minute is up the team with best wrapped mummy wins.

    Build A Scarecrow

Form groups and have a variety of old clothes, pillowcases for heads, markers and newspaper. Groups have 20 minutes to create. Give prizes to the scariest or funniest, then place outside.

Have your daughter come up with the ideas. She is old enough to plan the activities for her party. This has always worked the best for me because they know what kids their age will like.

I really like the other answers on here. I just wanted to say that if you apple-bob do not put food coloring in the water, it will stain the kids face and hair. I have been seriously stained with food coloring before, it is not fun.

maybe like a haunted house in the hall or 1 of the rooms. that'd be cool. lots of decoration. my friend's Halloween party had cookie decorating and tote bag decorating. um... maybe like give out candy. oh they can dress up in Halloween costumes too!
