Need help potty training!?

I am having issues with my two year old daughter. She'll tell me when she needs to pee, and she always goes on the potty. But I can't for the life of me get her to go number two! I've tried offering her sweeties and stickers... any tips from other parents? Thanks!

Update:

I do tell her all the time that big girls use the potty. Peeing is easy. She always pees on the potty. But she absolutely refuses to go poop! I've tried videos and books. But I like the idea of making it sort of a game... maybe I should take her in with me more often when I go to the restroom...

Poop is a scary thing for some kids. My son did the same thing. I started to make poop fun, lol. Every time I did #2 I would let him look at it and we would talk about it. He would also flush the toilet. The last thing I wanted to do was make it gross, instead I made it interesting. I say it took about 5 days of this before he had no issues with pooping in the toilet.

You should purchase a potty seat he can use at the grownup potty, or you'll make him use the baby. Either manner you'll be able to most likely need to keep in the toilet with him till he is going for the primary few months of potty coaching. Don't assume him to be ready to move in there and deal with it himself. Grab a ebook and plant your self till he is going. Don't make it demanding. You can present a present of a few form if he makes use of both potty (like 2 m&m's). Be sufferer even though he is not and do not fear. Training takes time.

What I did with my daughter while she was potty training was if she pooped in her diaper or panties(which ever you have her in) then I would take the diaper/panties and put the poop in the toilet. Then I would tell her that the poop goes in the toilet like pee. Also tell her that big girls like mommy poop in the potty and wouldnt she like to be a big girl like mommy. =) I hope this helps,I know its not fun potty training.

Hi there, I read your potty question and I understand your frustration!

I used to have a similar problem to yours.. I had a hard time training my toddler to be potty-trained.

I got this book called "Potty Training in 3 Days" (recommended by my pediatrician) and it's amazing! Although they said it takes only 3-days, mine took roughly around 4-days. But it's amazing how quick he have learnt! I recommended this to my friends and they were amazed too!

Here's the book that I recommend:

ADDED: I just found out that it was featured in parenting magazines!

honey...going pee on the toilet is the hard part...she will eventually learn. My daughter didnt like to go poop on the toilet either but then i realized it was because i was standing there watching her. She wanted privacy. Also kids do things in their own time. We often push and push and push for kids to do things earlier than they are ready. Think of it this way...shes not going to be 18 and pooping her pants. so eventually she will get it.
