I'm attending my first wedding and I'm clueless!?

I'm a guy in my mid 20's who hasn't been to a wedding in my adult life.. since I was a small child in fact. The wedding is for a co-worker, and I may be the only person from work who is attending. I have a few questions... what do I wear? It is an indoor service, in a church, with a reception to follow. Do I need to bring a gift? I know the couple is registered at a few stores. Also, I have invited a female friend to accompany me, which I was told by the groom to do. How do I go about acting like I know what I'm doing?! Any advice whatsoever would be appreciated.

Relax, be yourself and have fun. I would suggest wearing a suit, it sounds formal. I would also visit the stores the couple is registered at and make a purchase, have the gift wrapped at the store. There will be a 'table or area' for the gifts at the reception. There will also be a guestbook for you and your date to sign. Enjoy!

Fear not, dude. You'll be fine. Wear either a suit and tie or a nice sport jacket outfit (with tie as well). Yes, bring a gift. There will be a table somewhere for you to deposit your gift. Just act normal. Be polite. Don't drink a lot. Be respectful during the church service. Have a good time at the party afterward.

Wear a tux, bring a gift, and be polite!
