how many film lovers like foreign films?
I would like to know if there is any statistics on this (approximate % of film lovers in the USA who like to watch foreign film or at least would watch foreign films - not necessarily subtitled films, as some foreign films are in English)

It depends on what you define as "foreign".
Do you consider Australian films "foreign"?
I love all films - Asian, European, even some American films.

I subscribe to Netflix and would say that at least 80% of the films I watch are foreign. But going way back to my college days, most of the films I watched were foreign, my favorites being French and Japanese. Recently, I've begun enjoying Italian and Polish movies.

As the Mouse said, some define "Foreign" films differently. I see French, Italian, Spanish, German, Japanese, and yes, Virginia, even British films on a regular basis, though they are usually classics, not always.
This week I have "The Wages of Fear" and "Happy Christmas," which are actually "Le slaire de la peur" and "Joyeux Noel."
Last week it was "Kiki's Delivery Service" and "Breathless"

I do.
I don't get to see them as often as I used to, since I have two kids, but I go to foreign films as often as I can.

I for one, prefer Independent Film Channel movies or those of the Sundance Film Festival. I'm a little bit tired of "Hollywood" and those brainless stories featuring Jennifer Aniston as leading lady.
Real life, is simply more complicated than those stupid blockbuster movies.

I would dearly love to see more foreign films. We need more like Pelle the Conqueror and Babette's Feast.
