How do I stop a fridge from developing mould inside?

I have a fridge I no longer use and I've unplugged it. I don't want to keep the door open as it will get dirty inside. How can I stop it from going mouldy inside if I keep the door shut?

Sour chip is right, but it will smell because of the residue in the drainage system. Run a pipe cleaner through them, if you can, or a lot of the bleach solution. Make sure it all drains. Maybe blow it through with canned air or your vacuum . Let it air dry before closing it up. Also put a rolled up news paper in there to absorb any moisture. Dry, spent coffee grounds in paper towels take out the odors in a closed area (even in a running fridge)

Don't let kids play in it.

Wipe the inside down real well with a diluted chlorine bleach solution (1 cup bleach to 1 gallon water) to kill off anything that might be in there now. Allow it to dry completely inside. Then open a box of Arm & Hammer baking soda and leave it on the top shelf (one in the freezer, also). Replace every three months.

Bleach will kill the mold, but I've always heard to keep the door ajar or they will begin to stink. If you're going to use it anytime soon keep it plugged in on low, if not maybe consider selling it.
