How to break system password?
I've a Dell Latitude | D600.
How I came into possession of it is a long story, that I want repeat here. Suffice it to say, I AM the legitimate owner of this thing, although...
It has a system lock on it and haven't the password.
I can't get it from the previous owner for another year or so, once he's out of solitary and in a max unit.
Any ideas as to how to get around this thing?
For some reason, I can't get the dern thing far enough open to get to the pins on the motherboard and wipe it that way.
Maybe so people won't do exactly that...
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Thank you!
My bad! I left out a couple of details...
This password is necessary before you can do ANYTHING! Including set-up or the bios...
It is demanded before you even see the Windows greeting screen.

hello, if you need the password to a user account on windows XP, do this:
when you get to the login screen press [ctrl]+[alt]+[del] to bring up the different login screen (if you havent already got that, it should look like a normal application window with a username box and a password box)
then type administrator and leave the password blank
once your are logged in:
go to start:run then type "cmd"
then type "net user"
once you have the username type "net user (their username) (egsample password)
e.g. if their user was fred, and you want the password to be pensil:
net user fred pensil
if you did it right it should say command compleated sucsessfully

Well, you'll be able to constantly check out to try this. It will mean you can difference it. cross to begin, then run and style in "manipulate userpasswords2" and hit input. Then pick your home windows consumer, and do a contol+alt+delete - style in new password and put it aside.
