What are some good toys to keep my dog's mind occupied while I'm at work?
I have a 15 month old Dalmatian mix. He's confined to the first floor of the house while I'm at work. He never destroys anything; he's a very good boy. But, I know he gets bored. Every day he rearranges my area rugs and throw pillows. He doesn't chew them, he just puts them in a different place around the house.
What kind of of puzzle toys can I buy that will keep him occupied? They have to be kind of easy since he's not the brightest dog. Also, he loves to chew.
More details. He has stuffed toys, chew bones, pull toys, and has a Kong but hates it? He won't play with it.

get him a few rubber chew toys, bones etc. and try hiding a few of those rawhide chews around the flat so he can spend time sniffing them out. that should keep him occupied especially if you get big rawhide chews as by the time he finds them and chews them up you will be back. also, leave the tv on or radio.

Well since he is a puppy he is going to be chewing quite a bit....first i think i would probably get him a toy were you put food in it....because it is something that is very challenging and will keep interested oh....but i cant think of any rite just make sure they're not toys that could be harmful if he ripped it apart....oh and get him a bone that helps with teething...other than that im not sure....plastic toys may be torn easy and he could choke....also make sure the bone is fairly long because if it too short he may try to swallow it....Good Luck! :)

Hi,
Give your puppy plenty of toys whenever leaving him on his own. Ideal chewtoys are indestructible and hollow (such as Kong products or sterilized longbones), as they may be conveniently stuffed with kibble and occasional treats which periodically fall out and reward the pup for chewing his toy. Well, first you need to take your dog in and have his hearing checked. It is a fact that 85% of all Dalmatians are either deaf, or partially deaf. Being a mix breed, he may have escaped that flaw. As for toys ect. to keep him occupied. I suggest a good chew bone. He can't tear it up, and it's good for his developing teeth and jaw.
