Without a objective reality, how living is possible?

I believe what we call reality is just our perception of what we see in the world; it may not necessarily be the truth. I believe even if an objective reality exists, it can't be understood with our mind.

If everything we call reality is fake, how can we live in this world? If what we think is out there is indeed no there, how can we plan for the future? If there is no real reality how can we make airplanes and fly in the air? Can we say all the physical laws are based on our fake perception of reality?

You state several things that must be either defined or proven.

What we perceive is in our mind. We model the real world there. The question is what is truth? How do you define it? That is what determines your school of philosophy.

An objective truth is one that can be proven equally to all observers. What we perceive is not the totality of existence but only that fraction that our senses can perceive. Therefore, not all things live in the same reality. However, being aware of our limitations, we invent language to describe a mutually agreed description of our objective reality. Although each person perceives the reality slightly different, there is sufficient agreement for us to live our lives mutually in an objective reality that all understand.

As for science, the extended objective reality is observed through proven instrumentality. It gives us data that we can then construct an understanding of the extended objective reality. Sometimes the data confuses us and we reach wrong conclusions that must be corrected by added data and subsequent remodeling of our mental construction.

Does the objective reality really exist? It makes no difference if does or not as long as we are able to work with it and get it to produce the desired results. We can never know the "truthful" version of reality because we are just not built that way. We are limited by our biological instrument; our body.

You understand objectiveness in this world by creating subjectiveness.

If everything we call reality is fake, how can we live in this world?

We create our own subjective world to live in. We create our own rules, our own values and our own morals.

If what we think is out there is indeed no there, how can we plan for the future?

We plan our future in accordance to our own subjective ways.

If there is no real reality how can we make airplanes and fly in the air?

But is reality something we observe? If reality is only concluded by our observations, then the reality we conclude will always have some subjectiveness applied to it. Therefore we might each create our own versions of reality.

Can we say all the physical laws are based on our fake perception of reality?

Basically. Who is the judge in life? There is none but ourselves therefore there is no such thing as objectiveness in the end.

"Objective reality" is generally defined as that which exists whether you are conscious of it or not.

That said, it doesn't matter what your perception of it is. The fact is, if you can have a perception of it, it exists, no matter what it actually is. You can think a zebra is a bowling ball if you want to, but the further your perceptions are from "objective reality" the less effective you will be in your accomplishments.

By the same measurement, the closer your perceptions are to "what is", the more successful your endeavors will be--even if you think they are "just your perceptions".

The idea that objective reality is "that which exists whether a consciousness knows about it or not" is called the Primacy of Existence. http://www.importanceofphilosophy.com/Metaphysics_...

there are irrefutable physical laws - gravity being the most obvious.

Why do you believe an objective reality can't be understood with our mind? If you're looking at YOUR OWN IMMEDIATE REALITY AND TRyiNG TO SEE IT OBJECTIVELY, THEN YOU'VE OBVIOUSLY SET YOURSELF AN UPHILL STRUGGLE, SINCE YOU'LL HAVE YOUR OWN EMOTIONAL INVESTMENT ETC. Or, if you're tring to look at the world at large objectively, you will be able to do so provided you can suspend your own judgment, your own morality etc and just see. Then, if you can do that, you may be able to witness some of these other, intangible laws of reality (by which I gather you mean social/monetary/success laws) and thus factor them in to your future plans.

Since death is 100% going to happen for all human beings at some instant, we will find an objective reality only with the help of religion and "Faith in Unseen". No human being can say I am not going to die. So there is an objective reality which is death.

Sophist through experience is very close to Truth but not the Truth.

"You state several things that must be either defined" yes upto this it is understandable but to be " proven" is not mandated task for human beings. Communication is possible through defining things, life is possible through defining things. Proving is an attempt to creation which is not in the mandate of human beings therefore, they create an extended reality which is cause for his destruction and not for the life. The forbidden apple is the first instance of forbidding that act which the human beings did not take cognizance of.

" What we perceive is in our mind. We model the real world there." Upto here it is absolute truth. And I would suggest that an objective Truth is that is perceivable equally by all rather than proven equally by all. And since we are not omnipresent, it is never possible to have totality of existence, but partial existence in a imperfect sensual world. And here comes the question, does the objective reality really exist? Answer should be a certain yes rather than makes no differnce. The reason is the same as perceived by my Sophist above, the biological instrument called body. The philosopher should not restrict his inquiry to rational scientific persuits, he should be wading in the realms of mysticism and spirituality where he can fnd answers. The material plane of consciousness gives shapes to things. For that plane of conscousness, everything exists in its physical form like the body we adorn. The reality here is the perimeters of the perceptions through the five senses and the mind should restrict its perimeters also to the physical plane of material plane of consciousness inorder to have a consensuous agreement with all on the existence of objective reality. That is what we norally do and what we call as living in this world. At certain stage of life the purpose of life prompt one to see the end than the means and shape the means according to the end. The religons help here. The end in hinduism is moksha (liberation from the cycle of births and deaths) and therefore it becomes persuasive to live in the mind level of consiousness rather than exist in the physical level of consciousness and human beings are no longer interested in the fate of the body but interested in the fate of the soul which is half represented by the mind. What the scientists takes pain for years to find out using their microscope are seen in the minds eye by the inquirier or Yogins as they are called, and the neurons and subatomic particles are visisble for them through those eyes of ther inner self. Then the objective reality simply dissolves and the reality in the mind of God manifests. Instead of airplanes flying in the air, such human beings can gain control over the five elements like water, fire, air, earth, and ether. Those who gain control over Air can fly in the air, whereas those who gain contrl over water, the water cannot drown, or walk on water or whatever miracles can be demonstrated by them. They live in a different objective and subjective reality. They need not breathe, the need not eat, they are not burned by fire, and they can rule over the earth and cosmos, getting united and becoming one energy with the God. or the Source cosmic energy. The outside world exists only when there is a wall called body to separte it. The universe is a great fabric like a carpet spread out with all pictures forming different galaxies and inhabitants in them differentiated into subjective worlds. and when it will, the cosmic force can roll back that into one single point where nothing exists other than Ether(nothingness visible to eyes, or darkeness visisble). therefore, there is objective reality as long as body consciousness prevails. And there is no objective reality when spiritual consciousness or transcendental consciousness prevails.

You are right. There is an objective reality but since we are trapped in our current egoistic senses we cannot perceive it. We are lacking a "sixth sense" that we need to reveal what is outside of us. The good news is that there is a wisdom that is specifically for us to use to reveal the true reality. • Zen. Reality is thus and cannot be otherwise. The word tree is not the actual tree, only the representation. I call the mind that exists like this free.

if this was true - which it is, in my opinion - then for something to really exist it has to be seen by everyone using the exact same thought process to get the result. because as it iss true, everything in reality is only existing on a personal basis. If it realy existed it exists on global scale, a collective perspective.

Engage with life by using the gifts you've been given.

to those who have much much will be expected but to the beloved ones I expect no return for a gift.

the meaning of the symbol X

a gift given with nothing expected in return.'

    this is true love.
